B efore I wade into this, I will disclose that I was born and raised in Bellefonte, a small town 8 miles from the PSU campus. Haven't spoken to Joe for several years, but as a younger person, he was always very aproachable and just a really good guy. Seems to me that everhyone who does not come from that area and who does not know Joe want to make him into a pervert. Knowing Joe, I can just imagine the horror he felt when Mcquerry came to his house and told him what he saw.....and we really don't know how graphic Mcquerry described the incident. People in that area have respect for their elders and superiors and AT THE TIME, I'm sure Joe did what he thought was correct. I believe Joe thought that the issue was investigated and the people handling the issue were doing the correct thing. Of course Joe wished he would have followed up on the problem and hindsight is perfect vision. Not for a second do I believe Joe would set aside his values for the good of PSU football or the University over the well being of children. I'm not going to go into this any further as there is going to be a trial and hopefully all the facts will be heard. I will say that every football player who ever played there knows that Joe was all about the quality of education and the quality of his players BEFORE wins and losses were considered. Having spoken to many of my family and freinds, to be sure any person on tha tBoard of Regents who approved the firing of Joe will soon be gone. That stadium will one day be the Joe Paterno stadium and that statue will never be taken away. Those of you who do not come from that area simply do not know the people or Joe and should probably become better informed before slandering a great, great man.
So Bucks do you have a source that tells you the death penalty is coming? Or are you just spewing hate with your outrageous conspiracy theories? Because if you are, you will be pretty disappointed when Penn State does not recieve the death penalty.
The wheels of justice turn very slowly. I only want death penalty if it will help clear up confusion as to how to handle child rape at any college. Seems that everyone at PSU was confused on what to do to stop it.
Death Penalty? What a joke. There are foru Division 1 schools in the country that have NEVER been sanctioned by the NCAA. Penn State being one, of course......and I'll let the "board "hate monger" do his own research for the others.
