IMO, Iron Horse, Jordy Nelson is worth more than two first round picks to this team. We should have enough ammo and cap space to get those sacks without moving one of our most valuable players who just locked into what is now a very team friendly contract for two or three more years.

For instance look at NE getting a 2nd rounder for Vrabel,

New England gave up Vrabel and Cassel for that 2nd round pick, which is why I don't see the Packers franchising Flynn to try and trade him. I'm sure the packers would want at least a 1st rounder for Flynn if it's going to mean losing Finley, and if Cassel and Vrabel could only return a 2nd rounder I don't see Flynn alone returning a first rounder.

PackMan20, I am just saying, listen to what you can get. It seems now a days, it's a lot easier to get a good WR, than to get a really good Pass Rusher. Look at Victor Cruz, I think he was selling popcorn in Giants games or something. I mean, there a good deal of WR that just seem to come out of nowhere. Vincent, and DeSenan Jackson, both were drafted in the 2nd round. Miles Austin was not drafted. I believe Randall Cobb can delevelop into that second WR. It is just an idea.

I deffinatly say no to trading Jordy Nelson. He came alive this year and had a break out season. I would trade James Jones for a 3rd or 4th. Bring in Tori Gurley from the practice squad and use that pick to trade up.

who would you pick?

This draft needs to be ALL defense.

Here is a list of some FA and their age.

Robert Mathis DE 31

Calais Campbell DE 26

Mario Williams OLB 27

Cliff Avril        DE  26

John Abraham DE 34

Curtis Lofton  LB  26

Steven Tolloch LB 28

Brodrick Bunkley DT 28

D'Qwell Jackson  LB  28

Cory Redding   DE   31

Paul Soliai     DT    28

Anthony Spencer LB 28

Jeremy Mincey  DE   28

Matt Roth      DE    29

Jarrett Johnson  LB 31

From this list, Campbell and Williams will be very expensive.  Spencer and Roth might be a good fit, but at what cost?  The rest are either old or don't fit the scheme.  I think the best thing to do is try to get a pass rusher and DL through the draft.  A better pass rush will help our DB's.  We also need a safety if Collins is done.  That should be rounds 1 through 3.  Then draft a center to eventually replace Wells, but signing Wells and Finley should be the priority.  Then extend Rodgers, Matthews, and Raji.  The free agent market is not the way to go.  You can bark about free agents, but I still remember Joe Johnson and he put us in salary cap hell for a couple of years.  The salary cap rules have changed since we signed Reggie White.

"I have no doubt TT is going to use Matt Flynn as trade bait to get both new defensive bodies and more coveted draft picks..."

Flynn is a free agent. He walks for free. The Packers get nothing for the time and effort we put into this guy. Free and Clear.

Not necessarily.  When teams lose more old players to FA than they gain, they tend to get compensatory picks.  And the Packers tend to get a lot of them.  For example, the Packers got a 4th round pick for Aaron Kampman when he went to the Jaguars.
