G.B., I totally agree with you. I've been trying to make that point in all of my postings. Yes, our defense was bad all year. But 2 points to make: 1. We were 19th in the league in points allowed. That's the important stat, not yards allowed, and 2. our "all of a sudden" inept offense lost this game. If our offense didn't turn the ball over, and didn't drop passes, and Rodgers didn't misfire on open receivers, this game was ours probably to the tune of 35-24.
yes but lets not forget too that alot of plays including dropped passes and poor blocking contributed to the loss among many things so to blame the officials or just one thing like the fumbles is ridiculus . The Packers played an all around HORRIBLE game and to be honest didn't represent themselves as champions well so the blame has to be passed around to ALL the Packer players....
Definitly packerzrule -- they looked like they weren't prepared and thats a complete EMBARRASSMENT for a defending SB champion . well theres 3 months until the NFL Draft and 7 until Pre Season
Our very elite offense just had a bad day. That's all it was.But teams need to be constructed so that defense can keep us in games, and ours is not.Bad days happen to even very good units but we need to have a way to overcome that.We need to show up next year with a new look defense. One that is younger, hungrier and more intense and plays with a great motor. The biggest part of the problem is freeing Matthews from all the double teams. But there is a lack of talent in the front seven too because when you have one player drawing two and three guys to cover him, someone else should be makeing plays and you don't see that.
