Alright, haven't seen a thread here on the KU boards so I'm starting one. Can't wait for this game to get here! Kinda sucks that KU always play in the 8pm spot but oh well; that ain't changing anytime soon.
Baylor is a very good team and has been on the rise as of late. KU is clearly in a "down" year by KU standards, yet they still put a strong team on the court. The Phog is a tough place to play and with guys like TRob and TT (hopeully) fired up for this game, I see a lot of good intensity and play from the Jayhawks tonight. I just hope it equates to points! Baylor will be a challenge but home court advantage is an advantage and I look for it to play its part like it normally does.
Anyone else here Brent Pussburger say this game was in Manhattan? Dumb@$$
Interesting to see the roles reversed. Normally in a Monday primetime game like this, KU is the higher ranked team. Seems like that'd take a little pressure on them while adding more to Baylor.
I am glad that KU got this game at home. They haven't been really great in Big Monday games on the road. I am really excited for the game. I hope we see more of the Tyshawn Taylor that we got in the second half of the Iowa State game and we need Withey to MAN UP tonight. Releford also needs to bring his 'A' game and guard like a maniac.
I feel like a player going into to this game. Not entirely sure why but I am maybe cause we could lose but we can also lose any game. But it is a good kind of nervous where I can't wait for the game to start b/c even though all these games today were fun to watch I have been sort of bored that Ku isnt on yet. But now that is right around the corner I have a good nervous from a fan view. I cant wait!!!!
I feel we if dont let them force into too many turnovers and hit our threes while their in zone we will be fine. Like two said we got to have those key players bring their A games. It would also be nice to have an EJ spotting. Jut like last year when we went down there to play them and Selby and the twins had a good game Ej needs to have a good game. Don't jack up a bunch of thress but when you do shoot them we need him to make them and be efficient with his shots. Trob last yr didnt play well against the zone but lets hope he learned and Danny and Bill told him what he needs to do to be successful in it.
I think if we play smart and hit shots and come out with passion we will win this one

T-Rob looks GREAT against this weak zone. He'll have 30+ if they don't switch to man. Young looks pretty overmatched on defense, so I hope T-Rob and Withey can stay out of foul trouble. We have been a little loose with the ball, but not too bad.
What a momentum killer, that quick catch and shoot three miss by Elijah early in the possession helped Baylor rally. I would really prefer we work our offense because I think we can get good looks against this zone inside and out.
Two, that was a only a foul on Wesley. Noone else on either team gets whistled there.
Tyshawn with a couple street ball possessions and then EJ gets his pocket picked. With them and Tharpe simply not ready for basketball at this level we just do not have a reliable ball handler, that is it in a nutshell. It's not going to change this year.
Honestly, if T-Rob just turned around and strangled Taylor, I would understand. What a team killer. How many just flat out lazy stupid plays has he made in this game? Three or four already?
That was a ridiculous call against Taylor. The defender had to do a Neo move from the Matrix to even draw a little contact on the play as Tyshawn had slid by him.
What this team really needs is a Morris twin, either one. Obviously both would make us maybe the top team in the country but if we even had a guy like Markieff to feed Robinson in the high-low TRob could average 30 or more per game. Withey is solid but he just is not gifted passing the ball like both of the twins were/are.
