Nah not yet but a few more coaching blunders like we have had this year and it won't be long till this thread is valid. Way to give it away tonight Josh. This one is on you.

What did he do? Know that tigergreg will show up and explain how Josh didn't give it away and they will be "fine come March".

As a long-time Tiger fan, I`m not ready to pull the trigger on Josh just yet, but, I`m not particulary happy with the way the past two seasons have progressed. Yes, Josh is a refreshing replacement from Calipari, I love his enthusiam and positive outlooks, but, it`s not translating into wins to this point. It is what it is. Losses to UCF, SMU, Houston, Rice, UTEP, and Marshall in the last two years did not happen under Calipari`s watch. It has under Josh`s. Expectations were sky-high this year (a pre-season top-10 ranking); and Memphis has not delivered. period. Perhaps too much importance has been placed on "McDonalds All- Americans", and, expecting them to just show up and win. Thus far, it doesn`t seem to be working. The AAU "run and gun"mentality with little to no regard to playing defense and boxing-out on both ends of the floor has not worked-out to this point. Will the Tigers have to win the Conf-USA Tournament to get into the NCAA again? My guess is yes. I hope I`m wrong. I love my Tigers; I just don`t like the the way they play basketball. This team is flawed on both ends of the floor.

Tick tock.....tick tock......the clocks running out on Memphis this year. That automatic bid that looked to be a guarantee at the beginning of the year, with Memphis' #8 ranking is now not looking too promising. And, with each passing loss in the CUSA, that at large bid is looking less and less likely as well. No good wins on the non-conference schedule to impress the Selection Committee means ABSOLUTELY no margin for error in conference play.

But, at least the Memphis fans can rest easily knowing that Pastner is a better coach in his first 2 years than Coach Cal was in his first 2 years at Memphis.....or IS he????? Hmmmm.......maybe the Memphis fans can turn THIS into a 20 page thread debating this....oh, wait, it has already been done. Silly, silly, debate.

Did anyone see the game tonight?

CBS's POS gametracker cut out right before the end of the game. I still don't know what exactly happened.

As far as you jacktard Pastner bashers go, well, Cal didn't make the NCAA tourney in his first two years at all. At least Pastner did.

As far as this season goes, I won't make any excuses, but Pastner has two starters out with injuries, so this season is looking grim. But 12-6 is still a winning record and the Tiger's RPI is around 27. Not the resume of a sure bet top 25 team, but not lame either.

They definitely needed a win tonight and they didn't get it. However, those of you who think UCF isn't very good are just wrong. Ask UCONN how good they are.

I'm going to catch a bunch of crap for this but young or not I think with the same players Josh Pastner could have done as good if not a better job so far. I don't see Josh jerking his Hot Player and then wondering why the team scoring is down.
Just saw this on an Arizona Wildcats thread.

I guess the love for Sean Miller is fading fast.

Funny the things fans say when their team is not winning.

Congrats on being 12-6, winning 2/3rd of the games. Fact remains....absolutely ZERO quality out of conference wins. Yea, Memphis may be 3-1 in conference, but if Memphis ends up on the bubble, as it's looking like they will, no chance you get an at large over a major conference team with a similar resume'. Just won't happen. And, to use the RPI as the basis for having a good season is BEYOND moot. If you have forgotten, each year, the Selection Committee goes on record as saying that RPI doesn't guarantee you a bid....it's the body of work on a team's resume' that DOES earn a bid, and, again, Memphis' resume looks rather thin at this point.

Memphis 12-6, RPI 31 (According to CBSSports)
Florida St, 12-6, RPI 43
Dayton, 13-5, RPI 32
Xavier, 13-5, RPI 36
Wisconsin 13-5, RPI 38
Florida 14-4, RPI 44
Purdue 14-5, RPI 45
Oregon 13-5, RPI 50
St. Louis 13-4, RPI 59
UCF 13-4, RPI 61 (ANd they just beat Memphis.)

Again, RPI is moot, means ABSOLUTELY nothing, as the Selection Committee states every year. And from the teams I listed, I could see Memphis beating 2, maybe 3 of them.

Fact remains, Memphis had their chance in the Non-Conference schedule to make noise, but didn't. Room for error in conference is absolutely ZERO. Losing to UCF hurts worse that most Memphis fans fail to realize....it didn't just hurt, it absolutely pulverized Memhpis. Memphis cannot slip up any more, or face the dreaded bubble where there are WAY too many similar teams from major conferences. And, to expect mercy from the NCAA based on injuries....ask Louisville how they feel.

TD......both teams shot a rediculous high percentage in the first half.  The 2nd half UCF went on a run and we our defense was slow.  We began to play defense and we took the lead.  Black missed a easy alley oop from Jackson that would have put us up by 4 and sealed the game.  We got the ball back with with 15 seconds up by 2, they fouled A. Barton......he missed a 1 and 1.  UCF went down the court missed a shot, Spoon didn't block out, they rebounded put it up, scored, and was fouled.  The guy, who shot 57% ft, made it to win and their students rushed the court.

We didn't play as good as defense as we have been playing and we continue to have stupid fouls and turnovers.  Personally, I'm in Pastners corner.

You REALLY have to ask this question????? Then you obviously don't come on here too often. Need a reason, just look at the threads started by Memphis fans about/slamming Kentucky, going back the last 3 years, and you will have your reason.

Last I checked, these threads were an OPEN FORUM, and not limited to your own fan base. Can't stand the heat, then **** OFF!!

I guess the better questions should be....WHY DO MEMPHIS FANS CONSTANTLY POST ON KENTUCKY THREADS. YOU get a life.
