Happy to have a road win, but must admit that given Saturday's performance, I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of persistent intensity.
More than simply content to win, we must be looking to dominate!

Good second half, now let's see 40 minutes like that next Thursday against NC State.

Hope the Tarheels are over their little slump, however as long as they are ready in March, thats all that matters.  

Correct me if I'm wrong honey played defense and held bama to only 1 td. It was LSU defense faultl it was their lousy offense. Anyways the lineup looked ok i would rather have an healthy sex but if McDonald can come back and pj n bullock step up we get a better all round offensive lineup. I will say this we have to settle this three point defense issue I don't have to mention what team shoot threes alot. Okay win if we can play like we did in the second half we are a top team but the first half sleep walking crap letting no name joes shoot for the stars. We do this we will be elite 8 final four team. If not we will get upset by somebody we dont expect. Also we need HB40 needs to go OFF take over when you see fit.

Who are the 6 ACC losses going to come from now realblue?

Not the best game this team has ever played, but it got a little swagger back in the second half. A nice 18-0 run is more like it, and they did it by ramping up their defensive play. This team is a solid defensive team (despite what some people on here believe), they just don't seem to focus for a full 40 minutes. Hopefully tonight reminds them of what they're capable of.

Also, I think Strickland should be alright. He may not play the next game or two (with a week before the next game it is possible he misses no time I suppose), but I don't believe this is a season ending injury. The fact that he stayed on the bench through the game and even got up a couple times to head to the team huddle without assistance (though limping) makes me think it's not that serious. I just hope I'm right, as losing him would be rough.

Yep. Teams were already trying to shoot the lights out on us...shots just never fell as much as they did for FSU. Now that FSU wounded us, teams are gonna get cocky and start jacking 3s with hands in their faces like VT did tonight. We gotta at least shore it up somewhat. No telegraphed switches or lax screen acknowlegement.

Man O Man.....what a difference a little intensity and focused effort makes. A diffrent team and a different Harrison Barnes showed up in the 2nd half. I know Jay Bilas is a dookie but I agree with him when he said, "If Carolina can play defense like this every game, no one can beat them". I agree one thousand percent! I would also prefer that anytime we get into trouble to just allow Barnes to take over and create. Still some bad habits to iron out like too many jumpshots and fallaway jump shots by our front court but the effort and intensity made all the difference in the world in this game. ALL OF A SUDDEN VT can't hit shots when we compete on defense instead of hoping teams miss shots. This team drives me nuts!!!!

A prayer for Strickland but he looks to be on the shelf for at least a few weeks if not the season.

Well well, a win against a pretty bad VT team. BFD. If Roy would have let the scrubs in a little earlier, it would have been a different story, huh? Again, questionable perimeter D almost bites them in the arse. Laugahble, HA. Again & again, not a great team, but they just might get it together to make a deep run, but I'm not a betting man.

I don't understand how a UNC "fan" can be disappointed in this team after last night, and yet make the statement that Duke will sweep the season series. Do you honestly think Duke is playing that much better and more consistently than the Tar Heels?

If so, please explain their recent streak of losing at Temple by 5, following up that awful showing by barely beating a pathetic Georgia Tech team by 7, squeaking out a 3 point win at home over Virginia (who granted are good this year, but they could easily have lost that game at Cameron), and then rebounding with a blowout win at Clemson... oh wait, it was 7 point win that was as close as 4 in the final minute. Please explain how that string of games should make us all quiver in fear?! Duke has just as much to prove from a consistency stand point as UNC does... even if UNC's issues are really just one game at this point.

Are all of the critics expecting perfection every game from the Tar Heels? It doesn't happen in sports... 

FSU downs d00k in Cameron. Maybe the Seminoles are a little better than projected?
