Hey Rupp... isn't it humorous that it's only William and the most extremist elements of his fanbase who are heard whining about the point system the WTA utilizes?  It seems to me that a player who's whining about someone else being #1 in the rankings... as opposed to, you know, going out and actually earning the points necessary to achieve that topmost ranking... would seem to have a big pinch of insecurity about himself, and perhaps a smidgen of a feeling of 'entitlement'.  Neither surprises me about William, though - it fits his modus operandi.

On a related note, I wonder... should we feel at least a little bit sorry for that other lonely little thread which at this time has received no replies?... Eh, nah.  *LOL*  What its author fails to realize / remember is that, once William has lost and he's out of a tournament, nearly all of his fan-bots adopt their 'this turnment sux NEway' mindset, to attempt to deflect from the fact that he HAS lost, and subsequently completely stop paying any attention whatsoever to said tourney, fair-weather tennis 'fans' that they are.

Archie, as always, you are missing the point...when everything is said and done only the post passionate tennis fans are going to know that Caroline WAS #1.  The average fan and casual observer KNOW that Serena is GREAT, and a much better player than Caroline.

I am STILL LAUGHING AT YOU TWO FOOLS AND RACISTS!  By the way, you and Archie II keep dodging the question:  Why is it okay for Joker to blame himself and his unforced errors for the prolonging of his match with Hewett, but it's unacceptable to you FOOLS that Serena praised her opponent for playing well and winning, but that her 37 unforced errors hurt her also?  It's a fact, Serena's 37 unforced errors hurt her.  But there is no reasoning with RACISTS, cause you all twist and turn things any which way you like.

She yelled it 20+ times on Sharapova's double faults.   If you ever played USTA, you'd know that it is unacceptable to cheer on an opponent's double fault.  However, it's okay to pump yourself up on a nice shot that you made.  That is the HUGE differencce RACISTS!  As history shows though, there is no reasoning with RACISTS, as they love to twist and turn things.  By the way Ruppeee Boy, did they ever catch the folks that broke into your broke down trailer? 

By the way, we will NEVER say goodbye to Serena as long as the Tennis Hall of Fame stands, because her legacy will live forever in The Hall!  Don't be jealous, Archie I and Archie II..maybe Oudin or Caroline will get a Slam one day.  Notice how I say a Slam, cause they sure aren't getting 27 of them.
