Take care of business

Now is not the time for a road letdown. The win at Baylor was huge, but that would easily be negated if the Tigers falter at Ok State. I'd like to see Denmon get out of his little shooting slump and Mizzou play good sound smart basketball for the full 40 minutes. Keep the machine rolling and build that MO-mentum towards a run at the conference title!

Sucks but it was bound to happen on the road with two of their players having record scoring games. It doesn't bother me that we got knocked off the #2 platform either. Now it won't be such a big target. I think it'll take a lot of pressure off them. We still have plenty of basketball to play to stay up there in the rankings but the number one thing is to take care of our home games. Good job to the Cowboys and Go Mizzou!!

Big Monday showdown in Texas tonight! The Tigers will have to play better than the last couple games to get a win. The defense has had some major lapses and are losing too many of the 50/50 hustle plays. Keep saying that this will be the game Denmon breaks out of his shooting slump, but I really feel like we will need him tonight! His shot seems a little "flat, without the arch he had early in the season. To win a conference championship this is almost a must win game.

Wow! Not sure how, but Mizzou held on for a huge win! Moore and Ratliffe combined for 8 fouls and 5 rebounds - that isn't going to cut it. Denmon still struggling, but Dixon was hot and picked up the slack. His flaggerant towards the end was almost a game killer, so he still needs to be carefull with the stupid fouls.

Saturday should be a classic. Lets hope our home fans show some class. If anyone out there is a friend of a current Antler, please remind them that their actions will be viewed by millions and THEY DO represent the University of Missouri and the fanbase as a whole.

It's time for Mizzou to step up the defense. The last 5 games the D has given up way too many open easy shots. Shooting percentages for the opposition have been ridiculously high. Baylor shot over 57% last game and I'm afraid we will be in trouble if that happens tomorrow.

Have to regroup and focus on Iowa State. They are very good and scary to play after losing two straight. Royce White is the most talented player in the league and the Cyclones attempt more 3's than the Tigers. Time to right the ship and move on after the fiasco in Kansas.
