With this record going into postseason, and my belief the SEC gets five invites to the NCAA Tournament (like last year), I'm thinking Arkansas may need a win in the SEC tourney.  Really up in the air on this one though... opinion?

I think the SEC is a little bit stronger this year than last, and I think that it gets six bids this year. Kentucky, Florida, and Vanderbilt are all but locks. Mississippi State is basically a lock as well. Alabama should get in. Then I think the sixth will be between Arkansas and Ole Miss... I'm not sure who will get that sixth bid, but I do think the SEC gets six.

I agree.  6 bids.  Don't see Ole Miss though.  The team that really seems like they could kill themselves is Miss State.  Don't know why, but they seem to play poorly at exactly the wrong time.

Yeah, Mississippi State seems to play everyone close, no matter who it is.

I actually think Ole Miss is a better team than Arkansas at this point. Arkansas is just about unbeatable at TBA, but they need to learn to play without fouling. The borderline fouls that they get away with at home get called as fouls on the road. I understand it's Anderson's system, but they're going to continue to struggle on the road until they can pressure without fouling.

Ole Miss looked very good @Alabama yesterday. Too bad for them, they lost in double OT. They're a very gritty team who wins with defense. Also, they have more stregnth and athleticism down low than just about every team in the SEC. I think they need to win out at home (Auburn, Vanderbilt, LSU, Alabama) and win one road game against Mississippi State, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Arkansas. That would put them at 20-10 and 9-7 in SEC play, with wins over Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Alabama at home. They don't have the road problems that Arkansas has, so I think them making the tournament is more realistic than Arkansas making it. Either way, Arkansas' game @Georgia is a MUST win for them.

Jag, I'm presently looking for a paper bag to put on my head, that was just embarressing. Lose to Georgia by 22 points even on the road is unbelievable. That probably knocked out what little tourney hopes we had.Cry

Well, it hurts, but it doesn't completely end them. Just win a couple of games on the road, okay?

But, I've never seen a team that is so GOOD at home but so BAD on the road. I mean, this is a team who looked like a Top 10 team against Michigan and Vanderbilt. Then that performance against Georgia...

Get used to it with Anderson. Couldn't win on the road at Missouri either. His system needs the energy of the home crowd.
