UNC vs. NC State Game Thread

I LOVE Kendall Marshall. He is so good. He's going to average over 10 assists this year, which is very rare in college basketball.

I'm afraid that Marshall will join Barnes, Henson & Zeller out the door after this season, but for now I'm just going to enjoy having him on our team.

Shoktart you could mess up a wet dream....dang buzzkill. Yes mcadoo isnt doing so hot but really that the main topic ?? Oh yeah we miss dex.....Reggie better offense pretty good defense tall length. I love dex but this a blessing in disguise... Teams can't double in the post anymore not with pj bullocks hb40

Sorry. I just couldn't help but bring up Mack's stat line. Maybe he'll improve. But it sure doesn't look like there is anything there does it?

Also, if I may clarify something I wrote earlier. I said that I wanted Bullock to keep the starting job over Strickland next year. Obviously most likely they will BOTH be starting next year. My best guess as to the starting five next year is: Paige, Strickland, Bullock, Hairston, McAdoo.

But who knows. Brice Johnson might be good enough to start over McAdoo based on what Mack is showing so far. :)

how could  you criticize anybody right now all i know is this team came to play tonight and this is how good they can really be. before the game started i had a feeling they would come out strong and blow out nc state.  love having bullock in the starting lineup he hit a couple of nice threes and played solid defense. zeller had a huge game with a career high in boards and has scored ez inside all game.  marshall is the man he makes everybody so much better. he had some realy nice passes tonight.  barnes beasted it up as usual with 2 highlight reel dunks especially the first one. how bout that stillman white with a 3.  A great all around team effort and i expect this continue the rest of the year.  i think this team loses maybe 1 or 2  more games before the end of the season.

Very solid game ... good sign for the team. And we need to give White some credit.  Think he perfomred better than any of us envisioned.
Hope the Pack bounces back. Would like to see that program return to legitimate, consistent, competitive level. Go Heels! Beat Duke!

That dex line wasn't directed at you it's for anyone who thought the season was over bc dex went down. Yes he's lockdown defense but bullocks n pj bring threes and height which helps defense wise. We're gonna be aight tell all the. Chicken littles to cool out and relax. Great game and sad how this battle isn't much of a rivalry anymore maybe we should call Davidson up

That's possible. I'm not back to drinking the light blue Kool Aid like I was in Pre-season. But I have to admit that tonight was the best we have looked all season. Maybe Strickland's injury galvanized the team. I sure hope we get this type of effort moving forward.

McAdoo sucked....but I'm not going to dwell on the one negative anymore since everything else was positive.

Extremely pleased with tonight's effort and intensity!!!! No complaints at all...no issues whatsoever. I am only critical of the team when i don't see full effort. Tonight was probably the best effort/game of the season so far. As I stated in an earlier post after Strickland went down, his injury has given this team a rallying cry and greater focus. Thanks to FSU and the current circumstances, a sleeping GIANT may have been awakened. I love what i saw tonight!!!! Blow our wins expected against GT and Wake coming up then a good road test against Maryland in 9 days....

I disagree. Not a consistent enough shooter and not a good enough defender--yet.  


But then again, the pessimist you are, I would think you'd know that!! 

Marshall is talented but he doesn't have a consistent shot he will be here another year. Plus a lot of player that were gonna leave but came back will take a lot of spots. Zeller Henson n Barnes will go ahead of him then throw in all the other top stars. Plus you shouldnt wish or think that... Or offense runs on pt guards like Marshall Lawson Felton's. Good game lets keep the intensity up the acc is fighting back big game against UVA... First time in over a decade

Great game from the fellas last night!  It was nice to see a focused effort from the opening tip.  I thought Reggie did a great job defending Woods and his offense was a big lift.  Zeller was huge.  Henson had nice game as did Barnes.  I would've liked to see more from McAdoo and PJ though.  Anyone else notice the nice game from Hubert?  Hubert really stepped up with Mac in foul trouble.  Hubert isn't going to provide much offensively, but he really hits the boards hard.  A little strength and some work on the offensive end and Hubert will be a quality complimentary player in a year or two. 

Other than a few bonehead plays, we look good last night. At times, we really did look like we could be the best team in the country. I hate it for Strickland, but I've been a huge fan of Reggie and I really think he will step up his game now that he's in a starting roll. I think losing Dex will make us stronger. I just hope Marshall stays healthy (knock on wood). We would pretty much be screwed if anything happened to him.
