I agree megbydawg, what is this site thinking of?? Put a picture of the winner you morons. This was more about Victoria playing good than Maria playing bad. FIrst Grand Slam for Azaranka!!! More to come if she continues to place the ball like that.

Congratulations to Azarenka for a well earned championship. A dominating performance to be proud of.

And Serena, were you watching when Sharapova made her remarks to the crowd at the presentation? I hope so - you could learn something there.

They show the players being selected and put into the brackets on the tennis channel.  So much for your conspiracy theory.

Here's an informative link, which could perhaps be quite educational for ignorant folk who lack a full understanding of the issue, which explains that the calling of 'forced' vs. 'unforced' errors is a very subjective endeavour:

Tennis scorers make plenty of unforced errors

Why must you continue to stalk me and negatively rate my posts?
'Stalking'... claims the one who came into this thread from out of nowhere and immediately comments on a post I'VE made, while ignoring posts made by all others.  *LOL*

And, regarding the ratings - posts which are both childish, and ignorant, in their nature and content are fully deserving of substandard ratings.

I'm in full agreement with those who noted the oddity of this story having Maria's photograph, as opposed to Victoria's, present.

Nice article Big Kitty...however, there are far too many times that the statisticians post an unforced error when a guy or lady is in distress...such as, like I said before, when a player is on the run and hits the ball into the net.  To me, and to many other tennis pros, this is a forced error. With that said, I agree with you that there is a grey area of forced vs. unforced errors in other scenarios, just as there is a grey area in life.
