Woods falters, falls short of Rock at Abu Dhabi...

January 29, 2012 9:59 am

I LOVE IT! I am so friggin sick of the press talking about Woods. He was tied for the lead with Rock after 3 rounds and the press dismissed Rock completely and basically announced that Tiger had it in the bag. Now, this headline is not that Rock won, but that Woods FALTERED! Unbelievable!

Exactly, mar, and they leaft Rory out of the headline completely when he was Rock's closest pursuer -- and lost by the margin of the two-stroke penalty in round two!

They never said Woods had it in the bag....Rock played well today......hit shot after shot.....really the only bad shot was the tee shot off of the 18th tee.......

This is a US outlet and Woods was the one of the few US players in this tournament, which would otherwise not have been newsworthy here. Like it or not, Tiger Woods is still THE story on the tour. It's funny how all of you Tiger-haters object to the coverage, but give both clicks and comments to the story. In other words you are proving that the coverage is correct. Oh, well. Nobody ever said the public was intelligent.

As for the actual story, Tiger's swing changes didn't quite hold up under the pressure of Sunday. That means he isn't fully "back" yet. Then again, we are expecting someone with a lot of "rust" to win right away. He is still finishing high enough to indicate that it won't be long before he is hoisting trophies again. Foley and Woods will figure out what went wrong. Thanks to modern TV and Tiger's status as the game's biggest star, there is probably tape of every shot. They will be back on Tiger's estate watching it on a big screen on stop-frame by tomorrow.

LMAO..this is a common phallacy and trick used by posters like you..the ol sleight of hand..I've seen it on numerous boards..

IF you post anything about Tiger..well..then you MUST be interested in Tiger Woods?

If you post the NBA sucks..posters who love it say..Ha..you're posting on the NBA board..you must really care.

If you post that salaries have gotten out of hand in baseball..or steroids have been bad for the game..posters say..NOPE..you're posting here..so you must still really care?

It is simply a topic to discuss..like any other topic..and the Woods lovers flood the board with their nonsense...is it really any wonder..you'll get a dose of the other side..those who simply aren't Woods lovers?

It is a GOLF message board isn't it? Tiger plays golf doesn't he? I guess ONLY Woods LOVERS can post about Tiger Woods..

The Woods lovers always fall back on the "hate" card as well...instead of simply understanding...a lot of people don't care for Woods..for a wide variety of reasons?

I guess you're right..the " Nobody ever said the public was intelligent"?

Well can we offically say the tiger stare is dead???? yes I say in interviews that the players mentioned Im 1 or 2 out of the lead,or Tigers tied with me not the other way around. The tiger myth does nmot rattle players now. Not to say he will never win again but he no longer gets a 2 stroke advantage for just appearing on the tee. That and the ffact his appearance fee is so high how focused can he be compared to the rest of the field.

My My when someone replies to a golf thread involving Tiger and doesn't say,"Hail to king of golf(Tiger), we are Tiger haters.

So I will just report the facts.  No opinion.

1.  Tiger faded after sharing the lead

2.  Couldn't break par on the last round

3.  In a head to head battle he was beaten by a unknown

How do you like those facts.  No opinions.

Ha ha! I love it! Rock and Rory deliver a punch in the face to dirtbag Woods! I cannot wait until Hank's "The Big Miss" comes out to shovel more dirt on the disgraceful one.

I noticed Woods went back to his bag of dirty tricks and was walking ahead to the next tee before the other players finished putting.

His disgusting behavior has worn out its welcome worldwide. I hope the trend holds up of the new generation of golfers standing up to him instead of lying down like sheep the way the previous generation did.

Amazingly Tiger is now strongly and consistently developing a new position in his career in which he has become the "fader" instead of the the "closer." That Karma... it's a bitch huh TW!
