Ball St leads the MAC EAST but are just 12-7 overall for the season. Their success is largely due to strong defensive play holding opponents to an average of under 59 ppg. But I feel that these stats are deceiving because they have played a lot of weak offensive teams. Only once have they beaten a team with a current winning record ( Butler 12-11 on December 10th) and five out of their 12 wins have come in non lined games. Buffalo has won 4 in a row ( covering the spread each time ) and are 7-1 at home. Buffalo averages 73.6 PPG on 46% shooting. They have a very strong front court and are a dominate team on the boards ( 3rd in the country ). This will be one of the better offensive teams that Ball St has faced and I feel that their defense will be exposed tonight. Buffalo should get their share of offensive rebounds which will result in 2nd chance points. In my opinion Ball St will have to play extremely aggressive against a superior rebounding team that most likely will get them in foul trouble early. Buffalo has to much balance on offense for Ball St's defense to contain for a full 40 minutes. I feel that Buffalo will find a way to eventually take control of this game and never look back.
