Honestly Dr the only ones I could see them looking at would be either Clausen or LeinartThat makes sense. Clausen is a young kid that -could- be the answer at QB with the proper coaching. He was seen as a pro-ready prospect and if I remember correctly, he only slipped into the 2nd round because of character concerns. Were they bad enough to look away from him? I don't know, this team has already given chances to guys seen as character concerns and gotten positive production out of them. If his concerns are seen as manageable, he could be a good get, provided the Panthers were willing to part with him.
Unless we get Matt Flynn, I don't think anyone we sign or draft will be ahead of TJ next year.I'm not even sure Matt Flynn would be seen as an automatic starter over TJack if we got him. He would be coming onto the team with a significant disadvantage in terms of his knowledge of our system, and Pete seems to value that out of his QBs. I think however we address the QB position, it's going to, at best, be a competition that TJack has a hudge advantage in.
I'm starting to think that we're going to end up with one of three QBs: Ryan Tannehill, Brock Osweiler or Kirk Cousins. I think they'll sit and learn the offense while TJack gets a 2nd year to show what he has. It's not the popular plan, but I think it makes sense for where the draft currently is. I could be wrong on the guy, and we could still try going into free agency... Jason Campbell will probably be available, and he's probably a better version of TJack. But I think the draft is our mostly likely scenario.
