Nice classes in 2010, 2011 & now 2012.  The stage is set big time.

class of 2010 has been a huge disappiontment marked with a rash of transfers. It was also no where near as deep. I like the post and the thought, but I think 2014 is more likely date. I hope you are right and I am wrong

Nice classes for sure, but Bama has had the BEST class in all of those years. Good luck catching up though!

Bama does have the toop rated classes but Texas does not have the "questionable" antics that Bama has going on either.

Enlighten us Ellupo. Oversigning is no longer allowed in the SEC, so please tell us the next "questionable" excuse you have as to why we will still keep signing top classes and winning championships, and why your school will keep finishing top 5 at best, in both areas. You whiners will always find some thing or some excuse why your school is behind. No more oversigning? Let me try to dig up something else. I have this funny feeling your response is going to involve some recruit's mom that is so disappointed that her son isn't going to LSU, that she is telling papers that Saban is giving the recruit's girlfriend a job. I hope you can come up with something better than this lame-duck story.

Oversigning is still allowed in the SEC just not as much as before.  But it is still there.  Or the great humanitarian that tricky Nicky is will just take away offers after kids give commits.   Yes that did happen. Oh and the gray shirtting, that is always a fun time of year at Bama.   As far as the girlfriend, it was in violation of the rules, but I am sure it will wll be smoothed over and look clean as a whistle.  The kids mom may be bitter but why of all things would she make that up? Wouldnt it make more sense if you are trying to talk bad to just say there was money involved?  Keep your head in the sand.  Any objective opinion can see that at least something looks fishy.

Carrington Byndom CB
Demarco Cobbs LB
Mike Davis WR
Ashton Dorsey DT
Dominic Espinosa C
Jordan Hicks LB
Trey Hopkins LT
Jackson Jeffcoat LB
Adrian Phillips S

Thats 9 of 22 starters next year from one class(As Juniors or RS Soph). I can't really say that is disappointing. 2009 on the other hand...

It has suffered some attrition though...

Taylor Bible
Chris Jones
Traylon Shead
Darius White
Connor Wood

I don't know if 5 people out 25 is really all that unexpected though. All of those guys just got passed over by younger more talented people and decided to leave except White who turned into a team cancer despite having a possible future at Texas.

The 2009 Class was recruited under the old philosophy.  You cannot judge them as everything changed overnight.

TEXAS radically overhauled itself to more resemble SEC TEAMS in 2010.
I cannot fault personnel that was recruited with a diffrent team identity.

TEXAS will look like an SEC TEAM in everything but the conference patch in 2012.

The 2010 class fit that mold in parts.
The 2011 class fit even better to build the framework.
This 2012 is the payoff class.

I fully expect 9 or 10 wins this season.  But, we will have to wait one more season before the overhaul is complete.

The 2013 season will be the Texas pre-season #1 with high expectations.

The Gators are going to win it all in 2013. I've said that for 2 years now so I have to keep going with that so I can look like a genius.

I actually agree with the above too bad you guys wouldn't join the SEC guess you have an easier path in the Big 12 so can't really fault you.

In all seriousiness do you guys think Mack Brown will stay in the game for 2 more years?  He looks tired on the sidelines and has aged 30 years the last 10 (this happens to all the big time coaches though).
