Apparently the beakers can't play any longer if they think a bad call is made.  It must be their version of I'm taking my ball and going home.  Outscored 11-0 after the call, (which the second replay showed to be a great call), the Tigers came storming back to send the redlegs home with egg on their faces.  Keep saying it beakers.  there's no place like home, there's no place like home.  Please, just go home and stop whining.  You lost.   Deal with it.

Good grief drama queen. KU CHOKED big time and lost a game they could have won. Mizzou does have a bunch of really good shooters, which was good since they were relegated to chucking threes from 30 feet for most of the second half.

Bottom line, it was a 3 point win at home for Mizzou. Not exactly a beatdown. KU came close but Mizzou held serve at home. Shouldn't a Top 5 team be EXPECTED to win their home conference games?

I don't care about the bad calls. Teams end up on both sides of them over the course of a season, no biggie.

GoMizzou, Dude there is no need for an attack thread.  I'm a MIZZOU fan and loved the fact that they won but seriously, there's no need for a thread like this.  Twocoach, Good on ya for not throwing mud back.  Its good to see that there are sensible and clear thinking KU fans out there!  While I'm at it...and realizing you are able to divorce your love for the Jayhawks long enough to be sensibe, do you think Robinson should have been given a technical foul for taunting when he flexed big-time after his made shot?  Just wondering.

Agreed. This thread is not necessary and is in poor taste. I thought it was a great game that lived up to the all hype we all expected. Both teams made game changing mistakes so it was just a matter of timing on the clock. KU is a great team and it's a sad thing to see the rivalry drift off into history. I hope we can have something close to this rivalry someday with similar competition in the SEC.

I assumed that some knucklehead would do this. So it goes. it's hard not to in such a rivalry. Mizzou sports is rolling strong right now, so that really tends to bring the idiots out of the woodwork.

KU had their chances to win this game and did not execute. This isn't the first game they've failed to step up and it won't be the last. It's part of life on the big stage.

If he was going towards the player instead of backing away from him and heading up court, he might have gotten a technical. He was helped out that the Mizzou player he was flexing towards wasn't even looking at him, so maybe the refs gave him the benefit of the doubt. You can't taunt a player that isn't looking at you, I suppose. With the way the game was called, I EXPECTED a technical to be called when I saw him do it. But he wrapped the nonsense up and got up court, so he avoided one.

Apparently you boys missed the tidal wave of insults hurled at Mizzou, the team, it's coach and Tiger fans after the game last night on the gametracker page.  If you think mine was bad, it was nothing compared to the vitriol spewed at length by the sore losing beakers, complete with, refs bought off, Quin and no final four references.  I don't feel bad about the post at all.  It was in response to their garbage dump after the game.

Yep, don't feel bad, you're doing nothing wrong.   If the shoe was on the other foot there would be 5 times as much being thrown at Mizzou because they have 5 times as many fans on this site with twocoach being one of the most obnoxious of them all.    They like to talk their trash and if they don't want to hear it today from people like you they can avoid it if they choose.

Mizzou needed an 11-0 close to win by 3 AT HOME. That's not exactly "punching our team in the mouth". We all watched the game.

Eh, KU lost a regular season game at Mizzou. Not a big deal in the scheme of things. I don't really see this KU team as having the talent needed to threaten to make a deep run in the tourney. Honestly, I am shocked they are as competitive as they are this year. When Connor Teahan is your first guard off the bench, you have a problem. He was probably singlehandedly responsible for at least 12 Mizzou points in the first half his defense was so terrible. He should not be getting minutes on a quality basketball team. So it goes.

I think most KU fans knew that their team wasn't mentally tough.  I wouldn't trust Taylor nor Robinson to make the critical plays.

If Mizzou gets bounced in the 2nd round and KU makes it to the Final Four who do you think will have the last laugh? And visa versa....no reason to bumb your chest for a regular season win no matter who it was against. Your a top 5 team act like you have been here before and Mizzou will have a tough tiime when they travel to KU...

I disagree that how deep you go in the tourney is the most important thing.

Short of a Final Four, winning the conference is much more important.   Kansas and Missouri probably couldn't care less if one loses in the first round and the other in the Sweet Sixteen as compared to who wins the conference title this year.    I'd much rather see Mizzou win the Big 12 than make it to the Sweet Sixteen or Elite Eight while Kansas bows out a round or two earlier.

Let me guess, was anyone named bluegray involved in the gametracker smack talk?  If so I've learned its best to just not acknowlege anything that slimeball say.  Most of the KU fans on here are respectable (and don't claim bluegray as one of their own) and when you post something like this, the only ones that are really seeing what you typed and responding aren't the idiots that were egging it on.  I know its difficult sometimes, but sometimes its just better to be the bigger man and let them look like the tools everyone already knows they are

The big 12 race could go down to the wire this year, probably will be an exciting finish.  Disappointed my cats have had the opportunity to be right in the mix but haven't managed to finish games off.

What's even funnier than KU getting upset a few times in the tourney is that Mizzou has never been good enough that beating them in the tourney has been considered a huge upset.
