I really hate Tyshawn Taylor!!!!!!

February 4, 2012 11:57 pm

Tyshawn Taylor is the most worthless and overrated piece of feces I have ever seen in a Jayhawk uniform.  There is not a single player who has irritated me over the course of his career than Tyshawn Taylor from his incessant turnovers, poor decision making, and meltdowns in late game situations.  In the last few minutes of the Mizzou game, he was not only getting emasculated by Denmon, but he also missed two free throws that would have given us the lead with 42 seconds to go.  Then he followed it up with a dumb foul when they just needed to play good defense to get the ball back.  However, he was bailed out by a missed FT on the front end of a 1 and 1.
Instead of learning from his mistakes, he is out of control on the drive and picks up an offensive foul.

Bill Self is a moron for continuing to rely on this mentally deficient babboon looking prick to lead the team.  The ball should have gone inside to Thomas Robinson, who is the only real good talent on this team.  Tyshawn Taylor is an incorrigible and callow buffoon who has been playing like a freshman for four years to go along with his persistent off the court issues.  Self should have tried developing another PG to make this pig dispensable like the trash that he is.

In addition, Tyshawn provides no value on the court besides being a volume shooter that jacks up shots indisciminantly.  He did not pick up a single rebound compared to the 9 rebounds of Denmon.  Also, he had a pathetic 3:6 assist to turnover ratio.  It is harrendous enough that a PG at KU can only muster 3 assists, but it is even more egregious that he had twice as many turnovers.

KU is not going anywhere in the NCAA tournament with his Neanderthal playing point.  I predicted a tough stretch ahead which would start with a loss at Mizzou.  However, KU should have won this game up by 8 with a few minutes to go.  This team clearly lacks the killer instinct and the poise to win in pressure situations.  If they get in a close game, they generally fold as we saw against Duke, Davidson, ISU, and now Mizzou.

They will lose to Baylor on Wednesday as this team lacks the ability to win a big game on the road against a good opponent.  Blowing an 8 point lead and losing to Mizzou will end up dealing a severe blow to their chances of winning the conference. There is no way this team is mentally resilient enough to recover from that kind of gut wrenching loss.

Hopefully Tyshawn overdoses on his Prozac and never plays another minute in a KU uniform as he is nothing but a disgrace to every player who has ever suited up for KU.  I hope he burns in hell like the bottom feeding scumbag that he is.  Now we have to hear Mizzou fans gloat about a game they had no business winning if it were not for the choke artist Tyshawn Taylor blowing it the last few minutes.  Thanks TT for nothing as usual!!!!

In all my years being a KU fan, I have never hated any KU player(not even Chenowith or Christian Moody), but I can say with certainty that I have always despised Tyshawn Taylor.  This guy just gets my skin crawling with his lack of decorum and lack of respect for the game.  He has no character and seems like a typical ghetto punk.  He is like the Stephen Garcia of KU basketball.  He is a cancer that needs to be eradicated before his indolent behavior rubs off on the entire program.

4 years in college basketball and you would think he would have learned how to play with some discipline.  Just like a dog's tail, people like Tyshawn Taylor are incorrigible and will always remain crooked.

I am amending my earlier prediction of 6-4 to 5-5 in the last 10 games because I think we will lose to Missouri again at the end of the season.  Then we will have a second round exit in the tournament.  Book it!!!!

You are a bad fan and a bad human being as proven by some of the things you wish upon another.   How about you do us and the University a favor and find another team to root for?  I'm sure you chose KU to like because they were good, now move along.

Shoe, Taylor did help keep us in the game during the first half. But he continues to be a liability in some areas. He is a 2nd semester Junior isn't he?  An intelligent 2nd semester Junior wouldn't have even put himself in a position to possibly be contrued as an offensive foul with 10 seconds left ON THE ROAD. We appreciate your many insights, but frankly, you see everything through rose colored glasses, and it seems like you have your head buried in the sand much of the time. In your world, Bill Self can do no wrong, KU players can do no wrong and everything relative to KU basketball is peaches and cream.

That is not at all true Sonny.  I just do not expect perfection.   Some folks, yourself very much included, dwell on negatives and apparently feel that it is a sign that you see the game more objectively because you are more critical.  That is also a complete fallacy.   Have you guys watched college basketball before this season?   These kids make mistakes.  Granted Tyshawn is prone to more than most but he also does so much positively as well.  My point is we all know it is a good and bad with him so what is the point of going off the deep end everytime he makes a mistake.

Sonny where were you when he played better than any guard in the country for the last 3 weeks?   Now he has a bad stretch at the end of a game which he dominated at times and here you are out of nowhere to actively posting again.  Doesn't that seem a little more than coincidence?  By the way do you condone the idiotic op who hopes Tyshawn ODs on drugs?

I truly pity you and those like you, you can't even enjoy being a fan of one of college basketball's 5 best programs during a stretch of success unparalleled anywhere else in the country.    I was so down that we lost I was almost physically ill but then I realize that during a "down season" we lost by three on the road to a top 5 team and it took an extremely auspicious call on TRob otherwise we were getting ready to ice the game.  Take a breath and enjoy what we have, it's awesome.

Shoe you continue to pity me, but don't look down upon those who always seek improvement. You seem to fault us for expecting Taylor to become a smarter ball handler as he grows older. Shame on us!  There is a difference between being unreasonably critical and reasonably expecting incremental improvement from both the basketball team and the basketball coaching staff. Taylor is a 2nd semester Junior, not a Freshman and should be treated accordingly.

He is a senior first of all and expecting someone to change after 4 years of consistency (or lack thereof) is lunacy.  Again we all know what he is and what he isn't.   I will continue to pity you because I truly feel sorry for those like you.   Focusing on the negative while so many positives slap you in the face is unfortunate.

And again, because you are critical does not make you more objective or a realist or any thing of the sorts.

Wow, glad you got that all out, now take your prozac and grow up. Tyshawn Taylor does make mistakes like all kids do but he also does alot of good things. if all fans were like you their would only be coaches on the sidelines and the players would have all OD.

All I can say is wow! I tend to get embarrassed by many of my brethren on these type of boards, but never felt that kind of hatred coming from any supposed fan of a truely elite and classy college program.

Without Tyshawn what kind of record could you expect? He is only playing point because Self has no choice. Taylor carried the Jayhawks the first half and without him they could easily have been down double digits or more with a possible rout in the making. These guys are just kids and the expectations some put on these guys are unreasonable.

Had a guy on Gametracker a month ago tell me "I hope your mom dies in a car wreck over New Years" . So Jayhawk&Noles, you're only second on the list of completely useless scum that should have their keyboard taken away!

Shoe, I don't want to fight. We can just agree to disagree.

Part of the problem is that what you don't udnerstand is that we aren't in total disagreement.   I have eyes, I have watched every second of every game Taylor has played at Kansas and I know what he is on the court.   My point is just that though.   We have all had four years to understand what he is.  He is going to make some mistakes but is there anyone who thinks we would be better without him?  Is there anyone who thinks he does more harm than good?   If the answer is "yes" then I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Well, I asked if he was a Junior in my first post and you waited until your last post to answer it.  So if a kid bring homes B's and C's the first 3 years of High School, there is no reasonable expectation for him to bring home A's as a Senior? I look forward to this year's first weekend exit in this NCAA tournament. I am sure you will write something along the lines of "they were rebuilding, what did you expect?". But when they had a loaded team last year and their entire side of the bracket collapsed the first weekend, making it as easy as it gets in the tournament, you also had reasonable rationalizations as to why they couldn't make it to the Final Four. I expect this pattern of yours to continue.

I am done.

If you have a 7 year old piano prodigy, do you stop negatively reinforcing his (or her) bad behavior because "we all know what we are getting"?

That's just a cop out.

So what are your expectations, a Final Four every year?  A Final Four every 2 years?   3 years?   Guess what, you would be disappointed regardless of what school you support.

I didn't call attention to you saying he was a junior because I didn't want to look petty by making fun of your lack of knowledge of what is supposedly "your team".   But you went back to it again so I corrected you.

Did you really compare school grades to high level college basketball?   I'm not even going to waste my time blowing holes in that ridiculous analogy.

But when they had a loaded team last year and their entire side of the bracket collapsed the first weekend, making it as easy as it gets in the tournament, you also had reasonable rationalizations as to why they couldn't make it to the Final Four

And here is where we see the hypocrisy of everything you are saying.   You have mentioned in the past that all that matters is what happens in the post season.   In fact you and I have argued about that several times.    But here you are melting down and being utterly irrational about a regular season game.    LOL

I am done.

That remains to be seen

Look, Taylor plays both wonderfully AND terribly in almosyt every game that he plays, which is THE frustration with him. He is physically talented but mentally lacking. He played well physically in the first half scoring 17 points. But he mentally failed in the first half. As the PG "leader" of the team, he completely failed to run the offense the way it should be run. Yet another game where Withey and T-Rob took 6 shots combined in a half. RIDICULOUS. Taylor is the leader of this team and he needed to step up and make sure that KU stayed on course. He failed at that miserably.

And yes, Taylor choked away the game BIG TIME at the end. He played to his mental capacity instead of his physical ability and KU lost as a result. I don't want to hear ANYTHING about his stats or how many wins his stats have given KU. I know.

Bottom line, I do not believe that Taylor has the mental abilities to lead this team to any significant victories in the NCAA tourney. I felt the same way about Sherron Collins and I ended up being 100% right about him. Two players with physical talents that have helped KU win at an amazingly high level, yet two players who mental deficiencies ultimately have led to some of the most disappointing losses in KU history.

And Shoe, it is the TYPE of mistakes that Taylor makes that are unacceptable, not the number. Having the ball stolen from a four year starter who is the senior leader of a Top 10 team while he is standing upright dribbling the ball in front of him and calling a play and not paying any attention is UNACCEPTABLE and a perfect example of people's problem with Taylor. He is just not mentally paying attention at a level that is tolerable for high level college basketball teams. I have watched a LOT of college basketball games this year and I have NEVER seen that happen to another player yet. NEVER. The guy just stepped right up and took the ball. Taylor just flat out wasn't paying attention.

Mistakes are fine. CARELESS mistakes are unacceptable.

"Did you really compare school grades to high level college basketball?   I'm not even going to waste my time blowing holes in that ridiculous analogy."

Actually YES. If my child makes a mistake on a test because she studied, read the question thoroughly and tried her bets to find the answer but couldn't figure out the answer, I am FINE with it.

But if my child makes a mistake on a test because she didn't study or didn't read the question, that is a problem.

Like I said, it is the fact that so many of Taylor's mistakes are due to a lack of paying attention and being careless that is the problem. It shows a fundamental lack of respect for his teammates, the coaching staff and the fans.

two, come on man you are far too smart for that.  The grades analogy is, well, for lack of a better word... stupid.   If you do not know what started World War I you can look in a text book or google it to find most point at the assassination of Ferdinand.    If you are struggling to find the area of a right triangle through some simple research you will probably stumble upon Pythagorean' theorm.   It takes about 5 seconds to find the distance from the Earth to the Sun is approximately 93 million miles.   But hoping that someone who has demonstrated a distinct pattern for 3.5 years will suddenly eliminate the negative aspects is simply irrational.

And I'm not going to pay heed to your demand that wins not be brought up.   We have won a lot of games because of Tyshawn Taylor and we would have a lot more losses without him.  And anyone who wishes something bad happen to him off the court is a piece of crap in real life, with our without the safety, security and anonymity of the internet.

You guys are absolutely ridiculous. I can not believe some people are still harping on Tyshawn. Yes, he did makes mistakes at the end of the game, but come on, he kept KU in it in the first half. Also, the past 6 games he has put us or kept us in the game to win it. Do you guys not remember this stuff?? If we do not have Ty this year, I feel we are just over a .500 team. Yes, with Tyshawn we gotta take the good with the bad, but the good has FAR outweighed the bad since conference play started. Give the guy a break.

"If we do not have Ty this year, I feel we are just over a .500 team."

And without Tyshawn's lazy mental mistakes, we are a legit Final Four contender. I am not saying that Taylor isn't good. He is a very good player. He has the size, speed, skills, talent and ability to be a GREAT player. But his lack of consistent mental focus keeps him from being a GREAT player and it will likely end up keeping KU from achieving as much as it COULD.
