New ACC schedule poll, take two

February 5, 2012 10:08 am

So it looks like how it works is that you get a playing partner, ours will be Pitt, that you play a home and home with every year. Then everyone else, one year you play a home and home, one year you play them once at home, and the next year you play them once away.
Personally I hate it. Who wants to play Pitt twice a year, and why would you havea schedule that does not have MD playing Duke, UNC, and UVA twice every year instead of a school we have no history with at all. It can't be good for ratings. The top rated games of the year in the entire ACC when everyone is at least pretty good are Duke/UNC, Duke/MD, UNC/MD and UNC/NCST (who are also not partners). I would prefer to not play as many home and homes with several other teams and only play them once a year alternating sites in order to preserve natural rivalries every year. I am guessign Syracuse and Pitt could care less about playing us twice ever, and that probably goes for BC and Miami also. <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"></script>

Sorry hit a bad key before giving you a chance to love it. LOL

New ACC schedule poll, take two

Nice Poll Skins,  I gave it a wait and see but probably not for the current changes.
I didn't like expansion when our home and aways disappeared the first time.
Now I guess I'm resigned to it.

I have wondered who our natural rivalries are before.
You have Virginia and Virginia Tech to the south but not something that get folks around the office stirred up.
Duke and Carolina are big games, Lefty was good at getting those going each years.
The Dukies with the Lefty Heads was hilarious.
Loved to hate Carolina and the four corners, the clock fixed that.
After Penn State went to the Big it took away that big football game but as one Penn State player said back then 1 and 50 or whatever our record was didn't make it a rivalry for them.
Seems recently the West Virginia game could have went somewhere but that's gone.
Pitt is almost in Ohio Smile almost rather have a Philly team like Temple.
But for some reason not Rutgers or UConn.
I know you were talking ratings and games we love to watch but who is our natural rival?

All those rumors about Maryland going to Big, do you think the smoke might have had some fire?
How about Maryland and ND going together to the Big?
