-I want Oregon to admit that their school colors are green and golden shower
Another classy Wazzu fan.  Why is Oregon playing WSU in Seattle?  It will be more of a home game for Oregon than WSU.  After all, who is going to show up in Seattle and claim to be a Cougar fan....ba ha ha ha.

They have to have one game a year in Seattle to make the attendance avg higher so they don't lose Div 1 status.

That is funny!

And, while I'd like to admit to Oregons colors, it is somewhat difficult now to determine what those are.  We have Green, Yellow, Black, White, Grey, Silver, Chrome, and all colors come in a matte and neon version.

-I want to bring back having a real mountain lion prowling the sidelines in Pullman
I thought that was what the Leach hire was!

And, we clearly agree on everything UW.

Why should others be at a disadvantage if the SEC allows everyone but Ole Piss to practice all December.  If you could restrict the abuses by the South, I will forego giving everyone the benefit.  Done.

The Pac-12 Thread....

May 7, 2012 2:42 pm

Another day without incident. Cool. Slowly the trash talk revs up on back east threads as the hand wringers in the SEC begin to realize that this season there's no gimme into the NCG for even one team, never mind two.

We actually might be seeing a Pac-12 run coming up, an edge to USC this season, a "possible" edge to Oregon in 2013 and likely back to USC the following year. Never mind what the Stanfords and Washingtons do to enter that fray, as well.

With a four team/plus one, forget the personal opinion for a moment, it's very likely with the improved recruiting in the Pac, that every season a Pac team will be involved. At least, more often than not.

Everybody,

I read your post on the go last week. Nice assessment of Spring Practice. I am concerned about our depth at running back. This could present problems as we move mid season. Just not the same as having LaMike, Kenjon, and DAT. We need one of those young guys to really step up.

I was however very impressed with the O-Line. Much better than last years Spring game.

Remember the Throwin Samoan? (Wash U),  I think we have a flyin Hawaiian looming that looks very exciting! Should be fun to watch.

Go Ducks!

Gotta run again!

I like the "flying Hawaiian", kinda catchy.

Agree on the O-line, if York comes back strong, good good unit.

We still have Marshall to take a look at during the Summer for our RB needs.  But, no question the ball is going to have to go upstairs more often this year.

And, Trucker, agree the SEC rhetoric is hitting its high end offseason squeal.  They seem enraged at the suggestion that USC has the inside track to #1.  I sure wish you guys were opening the season against LSU, that would bring that nonsense to a halt on day 1.

Did you really say Thompson went to UW? Does anyone realize how racist the fans are at UW? Booed, Warren Moon out of the stadium, Stanback was booed throughout his career even though he was more successful than Jake Locker and even with the stellar season Price was having fans were calling for little Montana for half the seasn....and the flying Hawaiian is already patented by Jason Gesser.

Haha really, Duck fans think you will have more fans in Seattle? There are more Coug alums in the greater Seattle area than there are Huskies, "part of the reason" UW wanted to move the Apple Cup to Seattle every year, unlike UW, WSU has students show up to games. As well as I read somewhere (so not sure if it was true) that WSU offered to play the game there to lower the fee we had to pay Oregon for Moos breaking his agreement with Oregon about not being an AD for another Pac-10 school. Though it will be nice having a solid team in there for once. Ohio State, Notre Dame and Auburn had to pay/or sweeten deals to get out of the Seattle game leaving some pretty shatty games.

It is not going to happen because you will never have a system that can refute the truism of Oregons All Time Greatness.

It is a great system, but when did they start using it when Kelly took over. Utah ran the spread optiion since 2004 so it's not like it's a new wondeful system. Hell Utah had two undefeated seasons running it. So truism of Oregons all time greatness is rather mute. As for the uniforms, I think Oregon should go back to wearing the little duckling on thier helmet that was cute. GO UTES!!!!!!!!!

I thought they seemed to be hitting "mid-season form" a little early this year. Perhaps they hear footsteps??

USC is the Terrell Owens of College Football. They love to hate us. But we just wont go away. Keep overcoming obstacles and yes make a lot of noise when we do it!!! Ok maybe that was a bad example to use. But i think you get my point.

He probably could have been a pro at basketball too. even though he has been most of the time a headache you cannot deny his talent. He is one of the most gifted WR in history. Just one mans opinion.

Utah lost 5 football games in the PAC-12.  Has the worst basketball and baseball team in the league.  Why did we let this little brother join again?

Wow...look at you go with the Utah smack. Nice job big brother. Before you start ragging on Utah sports too much you might want to take a look at the conference as a whole and compare what everyone else has done with more recources.

Yes, Utah lost 5 conference games....yet they had the 3rd most wins of any of the bowl teams the conference fielded...and they were one of two that won their bowls. Yeah...a discrace to the conference.

Yes, Utah basketball sucks, but they started recruiting for the 2012 season in April after all previous players transferred out of the program except for 4 (1 was injured all year and one was kicked off the team leaving 2). So for a team to win three games in this conference with community college recruits and six months to prepare I'd say not too bad. They also finished ahead of USC and cannot possibly be the only team that made the conference look bad this year. They also bring a National Championship with them that most Pac 12 teams can't claim.

I don't know what this thing called Baseball is. My guess is Oregon must be having a good year or else  you wouldn't have brought it up. If you want to dive into small sports though may I suggest Gymnastics where the Red Rocks of Utah are smoking hot, unbelievably talented and are ALWAYS top 10 in the nation.

The Utes may be a "little brother" and may not have had the success of others in 2012, but perhaps you can give these little guys a few years with the money and name recognition the conference provides before passing too much judgement on them.
