High School Uniforms?!? Ours are classics!!
Trojan,

This just in, the world is evolving, and so are uniforms.  Your uni's are a bit HS at this point, but it clearly has no negative impact on recruiting.

Look at the new design of AZ ST, it is a much improved look.  My bad, you got a good look at it last year when it debuted against you.  So, you know what I'm saying.

The '57 Chevy was a classic, but there are better autos in every respect on the road today.  But, keep hanging onto the past as that is all you have at this point in the era of PAC OREGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not just you, the season needs to hurry and get here.......Fight Over.

ED, careful there E.D., there are things in the past that are above "evolving" winning is a good eg., an economy, tradition(I know that's one of yours, like the Rose Bowl), many things I'd take back/wouldn't change from the day.

One of them is the U.S.C. Trojans. Fight on....

NW,

I'm flexible, I would allow them to update the restrooms at the Rose Bowl, and maybe a little plaster and paint, but leave the game and the iconic sign alone.

That, and I want to get a rise out of you USC boys........fight over.

Nicely done NWT as you approach 1600 with the 12 pack crew Wink The Ducks and Trojans are the story for most of us in flyeroverland so is it Utah, Stanford, Washington or UCLA who steps up to challenge

Utah and UCLA are likely in the south but that is not saying much. Stanford in the north I dont believe Washington will have enought this season.  UW in 2013 though.

Update the Rose Bowl? Sure! Just give it to the Trojans to run. The Baby blue would let it run into the ground.....

WMich,Looks like we''ll survive until the season starts.LOL. Don't know after that, though. There's been some dry spells and some fun. Much like the B1G.

We are definitely backing Michigan against Bama. Upset of the year in week one??

If USC was on my schedule sure they would concern me. And unless you are the worlds biggest liar BAMA would concern you too. I would love the challenge though. And you dont have to tell me about Michigan. If we drop em in week 1, I dont see UM losing another in reg season.

Wait till I lie, then call me a liar.LOL Agreed on the challenge that game would be. Frankly, I'd prefer that match-up over LSU-USC from a tradition viewpoint.

I agree with the above post to a degree but add a caveat

Is price one of them?  Every year that 57 Chevy increases in value while last year’s model whatever goes down in value. USC is Rock and Roll and Oregon is more like Rap music. Only one of them is there for the long haul.

On Stanford I’m starting to get the feeling that Shayne Skov is assuming Luck’s leadership spot rather well  and we will be fine. Right now I like Nottingham under center but we have a month to see if Nunes is the guy.

Not me. We have them Notre Dame, and Oregon on our schedule so what's the concern? If you add Alabama to that we may end up playing a record number of top 25 teams by seasons end.

And unless you are the worlds biggest liar BAMA would concern you too. I would love the challenge though.

That's necessarily true. There are actually people who are simple minded enough to want to tangle with that defense. Not overly bright but honest in their delusions.

And you dont have to tell me about Michigan. If we drop em in week 1, I dont see UM losing another in reg season.

I think they can beat Alabama and still not go undefeated.

Agreed. There are certain programs that because of their traditional standing in college football, other teams always want to beat. Alabama and USC are two such teams. If they are having a down year, teams want to "get their shots in" while they can and when it is not a down year, they want to pull off that upset that costs them a NC shot or Conference Championship.

Teams like that also have to be of concern when they are having down years because in those instances the reason for the down year is usually more about having an inexperienced team vs. lacking talent!!

It's why beating Notre Dame is still a big deal to teams even though they haven't been relevant (as far as their record and ranking) in a while.

Good analogy!! While Oregon may actually be there for the long haul, they haven't been yet. They need quite a few more years to become "classic"!!

There is a finite number of "traditional” powers and those at the very top, Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame and even USC , among others, slip from time to time while every so often someone new to the ranks steps up. This will never change as long as those schools have serious monetary support behind them. Those I mentioned do.

Stanford is not a traditional power but they are a power right now. Oregon is the same although better overall in recent years than Stanford. Will we stay at the top? I don't know about Stanford but in contemplating Oregon I’d follow the money, they have it in very large numbers.

LOL --- Bullschidt on the gradute studies, look at what school offers more Doctrine programs -- c'mon little jealous fella Central Washington and Wazzu are closer academically than Oregon and Wazzu are. You make fun of Oregon's colors yet 99% of the country doesn't know yours-- LOL. Yet you keep on copying the different uniform craze.

Shows signs of brilliance, if a school offers more programs that make that school a better academic institute? In a remote location such as Pullman you cannot offer a crap load of programs. But I'm sure you would know that with that awesome Oregon law school I guess you are claiming. Both are middle of the pack academic universities in the Pac-12 so not sure how you using I'm retarded but not as retarded as you is an argument. But I can't really expect much more from a person who has only been a football fan for a decade.

And WSU is copying what exactly? And if you want to get technical, WSU was the once who started the "uniform" changing. In 96 Mike Price went to Nike but Nike still wouldn't allow a NW school to use Nike apparel, then he went to Riddell. Then he had to petition the NCAA because in the old NCAA rulebook you were not allowed to have home and away helmets. By the way, shocker that the uniform idea that WSU went to Nike with that they refused to use ended up being the design they used for the Denver Broncos.

And so what if most of the country doesn't know WSU's colors. That's like, again, comparing a girl who goes in the a bedroom to possible do her thing at a party and the girl who openly get's pissed on by all the guys at the party....of course everyone is going to remember the golden shower girl.

So, it's that kind of party?

Tell me you and your friends don't really do this.  And, if you do, what do you call it, a Pullman piss party?

This is why many in Utah were hesitant to join with the liberal northwest. Streaking in Berkley. Can't pump your own gas in Oregon. Piss parties in Washington. It's definitely a culture shock at times.
