The Pac-12 Thread....

Mariota's leaving and mr.wallace is your new qb!!
Only if there's a union down there. Ducks would get a qualified "pass first" and "run late"r guy with 300yds/game creditials. I may not win em all, just most.

If Wallace can get me 300 in the air per game, I'd take that, but I can't, because the players Union says even if Mariota sucs, I have to keep him and then if he is unable to play, I have to take the next guy from the hall.

Now, giving this problem, coupled with the amazing throwing talent of Wallace, I would expect he would come to Eugene and lobby for his "right to throw".

I'LL BE THERE IN TIME FOR THE ROSE ED!

If Mariota falters, Chip can count on me to get the job done right the 1st time and over budget, but not in time. My Hall buddas have instructed me to lay the rwak on rug IF inserted, early and often, as the Local Teamsters are going "ALL IN" on K-State. Gawd knows I don't want to become a footpad by a conccesion stand @ the North end of the stadium expansion project in a couple of years. But I'll give 300+ yards thru the air and 4 TO"s on the ground. Trust me.

BTW...

I have 7.2 40 stats, 2 bad knees from 40 yrs of construction work and bad back workmen's comp claim I made prior to the only job I could get in Baker City back in 1985, still pending. Arms strong, even tho it's not my dominate right arm, lost that to a railroad train accident last month.

I would bet that the government collects more on utility taxes - you know phone etc., than it does in income taxes.

DK,

Update on the 2013 team. Blake Martinez, the FR from AZ has looked really good in practice and limited action in ST and and ILB. If Skov does leave it probably will be a fight between Martinez and Vaughters for Skov's position. Does Vaughters finally figure out the mental aspect of the defense? As a member of the Bootleg(Stanford site on Scout.com) I will get a big update from David L. after the Rose Bowl. This should include comments from the HC, DC, and OC. I'll pass along any tidbits of info.

Did you see the Stanford article posted on 247sports.com yesterday? The title is The Stanford Secret. A great read on recruiting. I don't have the link but if you query Stanford at 247sports.com click on "Stanford has become a recruiting heavyweight in it's own way."

Wrong

Perhaps Chris Peterson "recieved and honed" his class by observing M Riley's charactor over the years.

So, Arizona starts off the Bowl season humiliating themselves.  The Wildcats are horrible, as evidenced by being in the New Mexico bowl playing in front of a stadium with maybe 1/8th of crowd capacity.

Oregon plays Nevada early next year and will show the Wildcats how to unload "the pistol".

Oregon beat Arizona 49-0, Arizona beat USC, Is Nevada better than USC?

Arizona wins out. That's about all I can say except all the small bowls are Fort Knox grab-bags. Or RR told them they suck and they took it personally.

Trojan, you are completely wrong about unions being responsible for Hostess. The management being overly inept was the reason, they led the company into the toilet. They believe they are entitled to 1.5 million even though they did a horrible job but refuse to make any concessions to the union no matter how outrageous the demands of the union are?

Really, I would bet that if you got rid of the union, the company would thrive. I remember the NY Daily Mirror. The unions made such outrageous demands, the company said we will cease to operate. Took the money and divided among the share holders and so many people lost jobs. A few writers were hired by the Daily News. But typesetter ets. were gone. That's what unions can do for their workers. If the job is worth $20 an hour with benefits, why should a union be able to stick up management for $25 by threatening to destroy the business unless their demands are met? Unions served their purposes when Management was a bane to society. Now it has become just the opposite. Unions stifle individualism/initiative.  They also protect workers who should be fired. That's why some workers love the union. Tell me how that benefits the majority of good workers? They are also a money laundering business to gain more power. They do that with a portion of the dues collected. In some ways they are akin to a protection racket.
