4-Year Scholarship Offer

It's fair if the same rules apply to both the school and the student.  If a student has to sit a year if they leave the school, then the school should have to wait a year before they offer that scholarship to another student.

That would cut down on schools offering thugs scholarships if they know they have repercussions of a lost year of scholarships for signing them.

4-Year Scholarship Offer

I like the idea of the 4-year scholarship. However, I feel that the NCAA will make strict obligations on how the student will perform off the field. It will essentially be a contract, if the student breaks it--they lose it. Terms and conditions will apply. Before someone mentioned how it will cut down on schools offering thugs. Well, maybe, but rather the 4-year scholarship (contract) might create enough motivation to prevent negative types of behaviors before they begin. Just my two cents.

I think its a fair way to do it.Certain coaches that use dirty methods to manage thier rosters of course aren't going to like it and neither will the fans of these coaches. The one exception might be tOSU fans who haven't gotten accustomed to Urbans recruting methods so we will see how they adjust, except dosen't the big-10 make thier schools give four year schollys?Maybe it will just be Urban adjusting. But I know the SEC schools are the #1 offenders in oversigning lead by 'lil' Spanky at bama, but during the Tuberville era at Auburn he did alot of it also.Thats just another thing I love about Chizik because and he dosen't throw medical hardships around even with guys like S. Coleman the 5star OL who has been fighting cancer since he signed with the tigers, and Chizik also put it into place where now Auburn is giving four year schollys like the big-10 schools which seems only fair.
