The boys looked drained from the win on Saturday night. Luckily they toughed it out but I have to give credit to OU. They looked like a totally different team than the one we faced a couple weeks ago.
Tigers will need to wake up before Saturday's game. Here's to hoping Baylor knocks off Kansas Wednesday and Mizzou beats Baylor Saturday to give the Tigers som breathing room in the Big 12 standings.
I'm not here to say that Mizzou sucks, because they have talented players, but show me a half empty arena when Kansas comes to town. Students come to see their school play Kansas hoping to storm the court. For crying out loud, the Missouri players had to tell their fans not to storm the court after beating KU, even though they were ranked higher and favored in the game. Just another reminder Tiger fans, you are not the Kansas Jayhawks!
Not an idiot, huh? Maybe your name should be "way to full of ourselves at KU this year"......The Tigers are glad they aren't the beaks........they would have 3 extra losses and be in third place after Wednesday night! We like being 4th in the country and in first place...........Get over your own hype!
The proof is in the stands, mistercardz. Mizzou doesn't move the needle. The stands weren't even half full in Oklahoma to watch the visiting Tigers. Pretty much shows that now matter how high Mizzou is ranked, they still aren't RELEVANT.
Relevant to who, the Oklahoma fans? Come on twocoach, relevancy matters only when talking about opposing coaches and sportswriters.......thus, as stated before, we are more relevant than the beaks this year. I know it hurts, but get used to it. We appeared very relevant when we filled the house Saturday, only to watch the beaks collapse under the pressure of a packed Mizzou arena where the beaks got "housed"......Now, I do believe this is where you all come back with some whinning.......I'll listen off the air.................
Mizzou you can try to justify this any way you want to, but the numbers never lie. You all know you got lucky on Saturday night, but nevermind that, Missouri has never won a Big 12 regular season title and never been to a Final Four. The reason Mizzou fans hate KU is outright jealousy and the reason KU fans hate Mizzou is because you win a game every once in a while against KU and then act like you are elite. Win a regular season title 7 years in a row and at least one Final Four then you can let us have it.
Actually, I've watched the game twice since Saturday and I'd have to say that Kansas was lucky to have that lead with three minutes to go. They played some undisciplined ball and were fouling all over the place. They committed something like 5 charges in that game floundering around like a bunch of suckers out of water. Kansas outplayed Mizzou in the first few minutes and then a stretch in the second half when they quickly built their only significant lead in the game and then fumbled it all away. They just didn't have the discipline to compete with us for the full 40 minutes.. If they don't bring their A game at AFH in three weeks or have the refs bailing them out, they are going to get beat again.
Floundering? You mean like the largest man on the court, Moore, who flopped like he was a European soccer player? And if you think Mizzou will make 10 three pointers in Lawrence, you are crazy. That is the only thing that kept them from getting blown out at home.
Tough road win for Mizzou and congrats to the Sooners for giving Mizzou a run for the money. Looks like some sore losers from Saturday's KU loss made it here. Mizzou fans jealous of KU? Jealous of what? It would seem that if KU is really so much better in all sports, KU fans would be well above the fracas.
i love how pissed people get bc they cant get over how MIZZOU is better than their basketball team! keep on hating while u watch us win ball games! #1 spot in the tourney!
Notanidiot, come on....who pulled your homer chain so hard that you had to make ridiculous comments. I understand that KU has 7 big 12 titles (4 of them shared with other big-12 teams...which you fail to mention); however, what does that have to do with this season...I mean really? This season IS this season...If we live in the present, we find that MU does have an excellent team who takes advantage of opportunities better BECAUSE they ARE a smaller team in size and depth. KU has a good squad of junior's and one senior and will definitely be a even more of a handful next year. Wait, maybe that's why you all are so upset. You won't have the chance to throttle MU next year because MU will be rebuilding while you all will have virtually a full squad of seniors, Releford will become relevent, Taylor will be terrific, Johnson will also significantly improve, Robinson will be even more awesome (if he doesn't jump for the NBA). Well, timing is everything. That being said, it is MIZZOU's time...be patient, you will definitely get your number 8 championship next year for sure. You could still get it this year too but its gonna be touch right now the way things are looking. You actually better pray that you beat Baylor or the possibility of getting the 4th stand alone championship will be even slimmer...thank you for participating.
Haters! I absolutely love the national press Mizzou is getting in football, basketball, and moving the the SEC. It is all much deserved and they are making excellent strides to making the brand an elite name. Yeah, I just said that. Hate on!
@notanidiot, the reason people fill the stands when KU comes to thier campus is because everbody hates Kansas and wants to beat them, not to sit in awe of thier presence, come on man!
MizzAlaFan, your post was full of mistakes to begin with. First of all, KU has 11 total Big 12 regular season titles, yes some were shared. How many does Missouri have, shared or outright? Zero. Next, Tyshawn Taylor is a Senior so he won't be back next year. The point I am trying to make is that a lot, not all, of Missouri fans get cocky because they actually have a good team this year. I am trying to inject a little reality here. Take it as you wish.
Want to know the real reason the OU stands were empty? They knew their team was going to get beat just like the KU fans didn't show up to Arrowhead because they knew their team was going to get beat.
