Power Rankings: Giants are champs, but every te...

Steelers ahead of Texans? What season did you watch. The Steelers are old and broken down, they have holes all over the place with many key players due to be out next year with injury and you have them 7th? The Texans are young and healthy with a strong run game, strong defense and the best offensive line in the NFL and you have them behind the Steelers? Why? Go look at the film of their last game and Houston totally beat them up. The Texans with a 3rd string rookie QB were only 7 points behind the Ravens and on the 40 yard line with 2 minutes to go. With a healthy Matt they go to the Super Bowl and not the Pats.

Bad drafting? But when I watch the draft I always hear about how much of a genius Belichick is at it!

HAHA prisco had to put the patriots at #3. what a bias writer. no idea how he has a job. there were 2 teams in the super bowl because those are the best 2 teams in the league right now. the packers haven't been around for a MONTH!

Dar...the former Green Bay OC Joe Philbin takes over in Miami and they're gonna target ....PEYTON? Gee, I don't know...maybe the right answer would have been Matt Flynn to that question since Joe and Matt have been on the same team for the past four years. But I guess you've got your marketing people to make happy w/ that plug.

Hey Mega-dunce. If you're not first, you're LAST. So who gives a rip-toot about the rankings beyond #1. And even if, HELLO MCFLY - 15-1 w/ the league MVP (an oh yeah, they played in the NFC and lost to the super bowl winners). Prioritize your thoughts - left foot, right foot, heel toe....

I remember last year how everyone claimed there was no chance the Packers would lose and it's the start of another dynasty. That's why they play the games folks. The Giants could easily miss the playoffs again, they seem to win it all when they get in but they don't get in every year like teams like the Patriots do. The Ravens and Falcons I am not sold on because I think it was always their QBs, and not their OCs.

I think the Giants have some holes that have to be fixed The line backing crew needed to be upgraded last off season and still needs to be. It cost us a couple of games The OL and running backs need to be upgraded Our Secondary should be better with Thomas and a full season from Prince. I think the Eagles have been ranked to low. By the end of the season not many teams wanted to play them With a full training camp they can be awful tough next year. I like Green bay, The Eagles, NO and my Giants as the class of the NFC.

Someone is just being nice putting Patsies at 3. They are 8th at best when you look at those teams that could take them out and with better and growing players.

For too many years the Pats have traded out of the first round and then back some more. They haven't been able to find people in the later rounds that turn into gems, just the normal guys that should only be there for spot playing time and depth. That needs to change if they want to add a 4th ring to Brady's stockpile.

I found it comical that Vegas is giving better odds to the Eagles than the Giants to win the Superbowl next year,

Dude ... he's got the Bengals ahead of the Lions! Once you saw that you should have known that ole Pete's been sniffin that glue again. Maybe someday CBS Sports will hire writers who have actually played sports in their lives ... not just have watched a few games through glasses thicker than coke bottle bottoms.

*Yawn* Prisco should be cashing his unemployment check. As usual he is more about stirring up the forum crowd than being accurate with his poll. One realizes you can't please everyone all of the time, but at least be semi-accurate with your glorified blog. For starters the top 4 should be the top 4 from the playoffs. (sorry Packers/Saints fans)

There are no rules when compiling rankings all Prisco has to do is list the teams in the order of which he thinks they merit. Saying the top four should be the Conference finalists is assinine I would certainly be willing to back my belief, that the Packers,Saints and possibly the Ravens would beat the Patriots at a neutral venue, with hard cash. The one stand out error for me is ranking the Broncos at 12 there are probably 20 better teams than the Broncos in the NFL.

"With a young team, an elite quarterback and a coach who knows how to make these playoff runs"... the Giants will once again risk missing the playoffs. They haven't proven they can beat bad teams. Once they are in the playoffs, watch out. But other teams will be hungrier next year.

This is this years list. For game 1 next year, GB would be an obvious #1 followed by NO or SF, then the Ravens, then Pats or Steelers or SF. List is very poor.
