Who do you want starting for the Redskins in 2012

Like I said above, the best thing would be if those other teams got their QB's in FA. Then there wouldn't be a need to try to trade up to get RGIII. We can just sit there and let him drop to us. Unless, of course, a team like the Rams, Vikings, Browns or even the Bucs take him then offer him to the highest bidder.

BTW I know it will probably cost that, but I think it's utterly rediculous to have to give up 2 first round picks to move up 2 spots. I.E. the Browns. Their #4 pick and maybe a 3rd round pick should be more than enough. It's 2 freaking spots in the draft that only features one true franchise player. I.E. Luck. RGIII, Blackmon, the USC LT, Richardson, Claiboure etc are all probably going to be very good NFL players, but none of them are on the same level as Luck. So it's crazy to give up so much to move up 2 spots.

As for us, we're only moving up 4 spots. It shouldn't take more than our 1st this year and our 2nd this year. Maybe throw in a late round pick (5th rd or later) or a player. Hell, the rams need a TE badly. Why not trade them Cooley in the package. He is not what he once was, but he's a hell of a lot better than anyone they have.

I'm going to really hope those teams get their QB's in FA or that a team like the Browns decide they have their QB in Colt McCoy and forget about trading up and take the RB or another player not named RGIII. That would give us the best chance for RGIII to slide to us.

We need to try to keep as many picks as possible. Because as good as RGIII might be, we need those picks to increase the overall talent of our team.

In my opinon that depends on if the Browns beleive he is the QB for them. They have the picks to make a much better offer this year than we do. It all depends on if the Browns get a FA QB or even want another QB. This is a very interesting year and now that the Redskins keep thing much more quiet it is all a guessing game.

The Browns have the most to offer in my opinion
if you are talking about the two first rounders than that's nothing, i am not worried about that because i dont see them being that dumb. why give up two picks for a QB which isnt even a huge need for them??

I gotta agree here MW. Colt McCoy may not be a franchise player, but he's a fairly decent QB. So why not give him some true weapons and then see what he can do. Worst case, he sucks and they're in the running for Barkley or Laundry Jones or whatever hot name QB comes out next year.

They would be far better served using that #4 pick on either the RB Richardson or maybe the WR Blackmon if he falls to them. Then they can use the 2nd #1 pick on either a WR (Floyd or Wright) if they take the RB with the #4 pick or use the pick on the next best RB like Polk or one of the others.

No matter what, they're helping their offense be a lot better. Putting Richardson in the backfield and pairing Greg Little with Michael Floyd or Kendall Wright or one of the other top WR's will only make the team better. That way, Colt McCoy actually has a chance to do something for a change.

I've heard a lot of talk of that being exactly what they are talking about doing. Which would give us the best chance of RGIII sliding to us. Then we don't have to give up any picks to get him. Which is the best case scenario for a team that needs more talent. :)

I very much hope that you are right and we can stay at six and get RGIII. I just very highly doubt it. I think the Rams are going to sell the number two pick to the highest bidder. Maybe after FA the price of that pick will drop. I think that will depend on where Flynn lands and if Manning is a FA. it is going to be very interesting to watch this all unflold.

true and true, but again, there's NO need for them to trade up in the first place. 1st, they have the 4th pick, i dont see the Rams or Vikings getting a QB, so at 4 they are safe and 2nd, if a team does trade up, what's the big deal, McCoy isnt that bad. they likely want RG3, but unlike Washington, they dont really need him. McCoy hasnt played awful, he just wasnt a star and some think it maybe due to the lack of talent at WR. if i were them, i stay put and if RG3 falls in your lap, get him, if not, get Blackmon or Richardson and if the Redskins trade up, then the pick is easy. i see the Vikings getting Matt Kalil if the Rams trade back.

I agree with you that the Browns do not need to move however in my opinion someone will trade up to get RGIII. I think the Rams will consider letting the 2nd pick go to the highest bidder. McCoy maybe the QB of the furture for them and I am very hopeful that is true.

I would love to see RGIII on the Redskins next year. Time will tell.

the only team i see trading up is Washington. i think Miami gets Manning. As for the Browns, i am in the opinion that they will wait it out and if the Redskins get a QB, they will just stay at pick 4, i mean, like i said, what's the point?? while RG3 is a huge pickup, he's not a need for them, he's more of a major want, plus the last two 1st round picks they used on QBs busted, i dont see them risking it. i think they stay put, if RG3 falls, they get him, if he doesnt, they get Justin Blackmon.

I hope that you are right and that the Rams make a fair deal with us. That would give us the franchise QB we all want. I beleive RGIII can be a huge sucess here. It is a gamble however I think it is a gamble that is worth taking if the price does not make us mogtage all of out high picks this year and next. Some think the price will be fair, I am not sure it depends who gets in on this and what the Rams are willing to take.

I would only be willing to move up if the price was right. I don't want to have to give up a first this year, a second this year and a first next year for a QB who looks like he will be very good in the NFL, but you won't know until he plays. That's a scary thing. We've all seen the sure fire, gonna be great QB's who have failed over the past 20 years. I do think that RGIII will be very good in the NFL because he seems to be person with his head on right and a lot of talent, but it's still a lot to give up for a maybe.

BTW I think the Browns would be thrilled if the Redskins or the Dolphins move up to the #2 spot to take RGIII. Why? Because that would mean that in all probability, Blackmon will fall to them. Then they'd have to choose between Blackmon and Richardson. Either one will make their offense better. So they'd be sitting pretty. My bet is they'd take Blackmon then use the 2nd #2 pick on a RB or another WR like Micheal Floyd. Could you imagine how happy Colt McCoy would be if he went into the season with Blackmon, Floyd and Greg Little at WR next season? Sure they'd take a little seasoning to get really good, but he'd be set at WR for the next 3-5 years. lol

Anyway, I think where the top FA QB's go in FA will determine just how the draft plays out. Once again, I'm hoping for Manning in Miami, Orton in Seattle and Flynn in Cleveland. That would leave RGIII up for the taking for us at #6. :)

my best is that (if we trade up for RG3 which actually is what i want to do), is that Cleveland than gets Blackmon with the 1st pick, then with that 2nd pick they have get a pass rushing DE, maybe if he falls Coples, then in round 2, likely get a RB like David Wilson.

I can see that being the case, but until they get McCoy or whoever the QB is some weapons, they will not win anything. Greg Little might end up being a decent WR, but the rest of their WR's are crap. They're running game, unless Hillis comes back to his 2010 level of play, is a joke. So they have got to add some quality playmakers on offense to give them even a chance in their division. Much less the rest of the NFL.

Hell if they could get Blackmon and Floyd in the first and and David Wilson in the 2nd, they'd be sitting pretty on offense if they all pan out. But who knows if they'll even do something like that.

i cant see them getting 2 WRs, maybe one, but not 2. which is why i say if we get RG3, they get Blackmon and then they later get a DE.
