It's amazing how just a handful of people can negatively affect a storied and proud program. All I have left to say is, adapt, overcome and Go Bucks!

Is Columbus an acquarium or what? No one should be immune from losing scholarships or being banned from bowl games if found guilty of the rules. I don't think they need to worry. They'll recover nicely, and they have the coach(and recruiter) to do it. And this is a Michigan guy talking!!!!

Love how Ohio State is the king of all media. CBS will use the name to make any form of article. That's how popular OSU is. Love them or hate them, they are the Howard Stern of football. CBS just makes crap up and people flock to post. Ohio State OWNS college football.

tipinmy40 Ohio St owns college football? You mean that 6-7 team that had to hire an SEC coach in hopes that maybe he could help them over the hump and actually defeat an SEC school? Urban Meyer spent 5 years in the SEC. He knows what it takes to win. Bielema said "We in the Big 10 dont want to be like the SEC in any way, shape or form." Well, forgive me, but why would you not want to be like the conference that has won 6 straight national championships? As long as the Big 10 chooses to "not be anything like the SEC," the titles and recruits will continue to flow into the southeast. In the past 5 years, the SEC has signed 55 5 star recruits. The Big 10 has signed 13. Its not the 1930s anymore. Get with the times, or you will continue to be an "also ran" conference. Or maybe folks in the Big 10 think that winning Rose Bowls is better than winning national titles.

Owns it BDS RTR.  Complete ownership.  See any Alabama news?  Nope?  This got you to comment didn't it?  Thanks for proving my point.

If Ohio State is involved, its front page news.  If Ohio State sold gum, you'd be chewing it.

If Ohio St sold gum, long after the flavor was gone, it would still tell you that it was the best gum and would look down at other gum makers for "not making gum the right way." Ohio St is the Doublemint gum of college football. It used to be the best around, until Orbit (the SEC) realized that they could make much better gum.

The one thing the NCAA hates more than anything else is being lied to. Look at what happened to Dez Bryant- for lying about something that wasn't even a violation, he got suspended for the entire season. I think Tressel hiding those emails pushed some buttons at the NCAA.

That SEC coach is a born, bred Ohioan through and through.  The defeat of an SEC team at the hands of an Ohio State team had already occurred in the past.  Hum, what else?  Oh yeah, do you mean kind of like what Nick Saban has done for Alabama?  Don't forget the depths Alabama has risen from most recently.  That was a mighty "hump".

So that's what it takes?  An entire conference to make a single program appear grim.  Sounds like gang fare to me, but if that's what it takes, so be it.

The sanctions that Ohio St are now facing are a direct result of a coach cheating to play his best players so he could what? Oh yeah. Compete with the SEC. That one time Ohio St beat an SEC teams was when that cheating coach covered up numerous rules violations to keep them eligible to play in the game. Had those players been suspended the way they should have been, Arkansas would have won that game handily. Its funny, Big 10 people always cry that the SEC cheats, yet it was Ohio St who cheated most recently just to try to compete with the SEC.

And yes, Meyer is a native Ohioan. But he made his name coaching in the SEC. He learned how to recruit in the SEC. The reason hes considered one of the best coaches in the nation is because of what he did in the SEC.

It took all of about 36 hours for Dodd to get away from the Super Bowl to realize he has nothing original to write about. So, its back to good ole Ohio State. Buckeye fans have moved on. Ohio State will not play in a bowl game, and they are getting docked 3 scholarships a year for the next 3 years. Its over with. The Buckeyes will still be the best team in the Big 10 next year, and may even go undefeated (they'll be favored in probably every game except maybe at Michigan State). The Big 10 championship game will be a huge joke like the PAC-12's was this past season. I'm sure Jim Delaney is gonna be real happy about an 8-4 Wisconsin team playing for the championship against a 2 loss (at least) Legends division winner. I'm gonna sit back and watch the Big 10 make fools of themselves next bowl season again, and laugh the whole time. 2013 will be here soon enough, and unless Bielema, Dantonio and the other coaches grow up, the conference is gonna be Ohio State's for the next decade at minimum. And deep down, everyone knows that. Dodd knows it too, and he just can't stand it. Message to Dodd, as Bo Ryan would say, DEAL WITH IT!
