Someone posted a cool draft game based on the first round last year, so I will get this going now.  We can have a new one after FA as well since things may change.  But as things stand, let's play the draft game.  I'll start with the Colts, make a pick, and then the next person can copy the draft order and make the next team's pick.  Got it?  Good.  Here we go.......

2012 NFL Draft Order

February 7, 2012 5:14 pm

**

I know the Vikings just spent a first rounder on Ponder, but in a division with future Hall of Fame QBs Aaron Rodgers and Matt Stafford a guy like Ponder just isn't going to cut it.

The Vikings realize that keeping up with the Joneses is their only hope for a playoff berth over the next 10-15 years, so they go all in on Griffen. Ponder is auctioned off to the highest bidder. Washington, Seattle, Miami, Cleveland and Kansas City all seem like logical suitors and I'd think they'd net a mid-2nd to a mid-3rd rounder for him...

I can see this happening, because I'm a big Griffin fan. I think he can be better then Luck. Don't forget Baylor is the academic school in the Big 12 like Stanford is the acedemic school in the PAC 10(12). Griffin is no dummy. I think Griffin is more athletic, and stronger arm. Luck is probably more accurate. No stats to back this up, just an opinion.

I vote that when we get to the Lions pick we sort out the 6-8 best picks available and make a seperate thread to vote on who we all want the pick to be.

I think that's a better system than letting one person do it...

The order may not be set in stone, but I think the 5 we came up with are definitely the "consensus" top players, it should start to get pretty interesting from here out...

I like the pick for Washington. With Kalil on one end and Trent Williams on the other whomever plays QB for them would have ideal protection...

Tpaul...you said no trades....I actually think the Skins will swing a trade with the Vikings and take RG3. It only makes sense right? Ponder looked pretty good  this year.  They can add a pick without losing much draft position. The Skins are in desperate need for a franchise QB.  I see the Vikes, after trading down, surprising(like Ponder last year) us and grabbing a receiver..maybe Floyd or Jeffrey.  They really need another target for Ponder.

I can see both playing out, But if Peyton Manning goes to the Skins, then Kalil is a good pick. FA is going to have alot of effect on this game.
