If I'm Baltimore, I make a move for Peyton. Lets face it, Flacco will never be an elite quarterback. Servicable? Sure. Good? Maybe. Great? Never. Put Peyton on that team, and instant superbowl favorite with that defense backing him up.

"Stability in the front office is the most important thing to a franchise." Ain't that the truth in any sport. Look at the joker franchises like the Milwaukee Bucks for example. They've whiffed on 17 of their last 20 first round picks. Not only that, but they change GM's every 2-3 years. Same deal goes for the Vikings and Bears to a fault.

I don't see Peyton signing with the Redskins. Even with Peyton, Washington is probably the 4th best team in the NFC East. If he is going to TRY to play (I still do not believe he will play), it will be for an ideal situation. He would be smart to sit out, and wait. Some team will emerge as a contender and need a QB upgrade or have an injury. Peyton can step in then.

amatrick...that's ridiculous
Flacco can certainly be an elite QB in this league. That was his 4th year. Do you know how many "Elite" QB's weren't considered Elite in their 4th year?!?! Drew Brees and Both Mannings for example. Give the kid some more time, he's got all the tools and he had a great game in the AFC Championship game. Giants fans were ready to throw ELI to the wolves even after he won his first SB. Peyton threw 23 INT's in his 4th year. Be patient man

A couple more things about Peyton to Baltimore. Peyton wants a superbowl, and Ravens were damn close this year. If anyone wants/needs/deserves a superbowl more than Peyton, it's Ray Lewis. Baltimore has weapons on offense that Washington and Miami don't have. Just saying...

BREES4MVP, Peyton makes any team he's on a playoff contender if he plays...He's not just a "QB upgrade" he's an Offensive Coordinator on the field. He's that good

If Peyton is healthy, it's an upgrade from Flacco no matter how you slice it Slapchop. Ray Lewis and that aging but still great defense do not have time to wait for Flacco. I watched Flacco, and that offense is limited by his limited abilities.

A healthy Peyton puts them in the superbowl, and that aging but still great defense doesn't have time to wait for Flacco. That team was limited by Flacco's limited abilities. Peyton makes them the Superbowl Favorites for me. Flacco just can't get it done.

49'ers would be a great place for Peyton for the same reasons as Baltimore though, and if I'm Denver I think about it as well. The ONLY way they can put the Tebow Genie back in the bottle, it's by bringing in Peyton. Denver fans won't dictate Tebow over him.

Peyton should go to the Broncos. Tebow can play tailback while Manning teaches him how to be a quarterback. ok, this would've been a good move if Tebow hadnt played a down yet, but he did, plus i dont see Denver interested and i dont see Manning interested. i mean why go to a team that has a coach who loves to run the ball 80% of the time???? Manning will likely want to play for a pass first head coach which is why i dont see him on the Jets either by the way. I don't see Peyton signing with the Redskins. Even with Peyton, Washington is probably the 4th best team in the NFC East. we have to agree and disagree here BREES4MVP, FIRST off, i do NOT see Peyton Manning in Washington, but i will get to that in a second. Washington with a GOOD QB will be in that NFC East hunt, trust me, i have seen them. the Redskins BIG issue.............QUARTERBACK. they have had for the past years, an older McNabb, John Beck, Rex Grossman, Jason Campbell (average) and Brunell, get the picture?? with a QB like Robert Griffin the 3rd (who I want now because he's younger and has potential franchise QB wrote all over him), we compete in the East likely fast. NOW to Peyton Manning. he will NOT be a Redskin and for THIS reason. Eli Manning. I dont see Peyton putting his mom and dad through the Manning bowl drama twice in one year for likely 3 years, so that is why Washington and Peyton Manning wont happen. If he is going to TRY to play (I still do not believe he will play), it will be for an ideal situation. He would be smart to sit out, and wait. Some team will emerge as a contender and need a QB upgrade or have an injury. Peyton can step in then. if Manning IS going to play (and i think he will play for at least 2 years, maybe 3), then i expect him to sign with a team who has good peices to build with. now what team is that?? in my book the BEST fit for Peyton Manning (besides the Colts) is Miami. in Miami, he will be the star, people in Miami will say, ok, let's do this right, let's get a present and a future. with Manning they would have a QB to play for the next year, hopefully 3 and then in round 2 they would draft a QB (maybe Nick Foles or Ryan Tannehill, likely Tannehill if he isnt taken by the Bills) and if they are wise and they sign Manning, then in round one of the draft, i look into a WR like Floyd or Jeffery to team up with Marshall and make this dolphins offense that much scarier. now another team who could look at him is Arizona, but i just think Miami is and should be his place to go.

Yeah, Peyton will go to Washington. Peyton has been paid. He wants glory now. The Redskins are about as far away from a super bowl as any team in the league. This will not happen. Arizona and Miami are front runners, in that order, in my opinion. I'm not sure he even leaves Indy until we hear more closer to the deadline. He still has the option to renegotiate. The Redskins. Thats funny.

slapchopper9, Peyton, at this point, is not the Peyton we all know and love. Believe me, I am a huge fan of Peyton, and saw first hand what he is and what he does, going all the way back to his high school days. Peyton RIGHT NOW is not healthy, and able to produce like the Peyton of old, despite whatever is being disseminated to the public. IF he ever plays again, it will be for a team HE BELIEVES is Championship caliber. He is smart enough to know, so we should defer to his judgment if he signs somewhere. He is NOT going to sign with a team out there, simply to play.

Nah, not the Redskins. Their receivers are no good (with the exception of Davis). Miami has a good defence, good wr and receiving back. Throw in the city of Miami, better weather and the fact that he owns a home there and I think the choice is obvious.

I'd hate to see Peyton go to bad team and flounder. 49'ers, Denver, Baltimore all made the playoffs this year and if he's healthy it would improve them. Washington's front office is a joke. Miami has some talent and good weather, but I don't see them as a ready-made team like the three mentioned. the Jet's locker room is a joke, but Peyton would fix that, so I guess I'd add them to the list.
