Loaded UK could be competitive in today's water...

I agree with DHarvey that this UK team is not even one of the best UK teams we have seen in the last 15 years. 1996 and 2010 are better then this years team. Tony Delk was a great guard for UK and helped them win a national title. What did Delk do in the NBA...he rode the bench. Granted this was the 90's NBA not today. Look at John Wall though right now. He is terribly overrated and not worth the #1 pick. However he dominated college basketball 2 years ago. Professionals are Professionals. How many European players do you see in the NCAA. Not too many because they all play pro leagues in Europe or in the NBA. UK 2012 would get owned.

To add to what's alreadt been said, besides having ALL NBA player on an NBA team vs 5 or 6 on UK's team, a typical NBA team has 1 or 2 rookies at most.  You'll almost never see a team with more than 1 rookie actually contributing anything significant.

A lot of these rookies and sophomores in the NBA might turn out to be great, just like some of the UK players might turn out to be great someday.  But right now they're still basically kids and the NBA is dominated by men.  

You don't get drafted becasue you'll be a superstar someday.  You get drafted becasue you might turn out to be pretty good someday.   

Probably the dumbest piece of sports journalism I've ever encountered. It makes me want to vomit knowing that this guy gets paid money to write such idiocy. How does a guy like this get a job to write for CBS? And how in the world do the CBS editors give an article like this the okay? I've heard more sophisticated argumentation in a room full of stoners talking about which Mighty Ducks movie is the best. You should lose your job for this steamy pile of crap.

Dude, you don't know basketball. Plain and simple. Not much more I need to say. I wish stupid ppl would quit thinking every freakin year that the best team in a collegiate sport could beat the worse team in that sport's professional league. There's a reason they're called PROFESSIONALS!!!!

To expand a lil more on what I'm saying, as good as Anthony Davis is, he would get eating alive by Emeka Okafor if UK played the Hornets. DJ Augustin/Kemba Walker and Gerlad Henderson would take Teague and Kidd-Gilchrist to school. Even the best teams in NCAAB year-in and year-out are lucky to see 3 or 4 of their players to go onto the NBA, which makes it 1000% laughable and foolish that people would even get the notion that an NCAA team with maybe 3 or 4 pro-caliber players would beat any squad that are FULL of pros. Period.

Goodman is an idiot. College teams competing with the NBA? KY hasn't won anything yet and they can beat the likes of even NO? This guy is a total cretin.

Oh and I LOVE college hoops WAY more. However, any comparison is absolutely idiotic.
