Official KU @ Baylor Game Thread

Less than an hour to tip and I have to say that I am extactic that KU actually has the 6pm tipoff!!  None of this waiting until some Big East or ACC game is over to switch over 5 minutes into the KU game.  This is awesome.

That said, I am very nervous about this game.  KU drummed Baylor in The Phog so Baylor is going to be looking for payback.  It's also the second road game in a row where KU has to face a top 10 team.  The positive is that KU went into a hostile environment in Columbia, and outside a few plays (which were admittedly huge plays) played pretty darn well.  If KU can bring that same level of game then this should be a great game.  Anything less could lead to a blowout. 

As heard on SC, KU has not lost back to back road games since 2006, but as the same segment indicated, this is probably the first time since then that KU has played back to back road games against top 10 teams.  This is going to be a tough one.

Yikes, where is our energy?   Everyone just standing around.  And after a horrific game vs MU Jeff Withey starts tonight with two mistakes.   First he puts the ball on the floor and gets it poked away after a great feed from TRob.  Then he gets caught on a moving screen.  Come on.

Withey looks totally out of sync with the offense. He can't seem to get position on the right spot at the right time to get the ball.

Ku is a little more back on track after a terrible start. Still pretty crappy.

Both teams are pretty awful offensively right now.

Why on earth commit that foul Teahan?

That was a pretty bad foul call on Teahan.

Teahan is killing us.   First he falls down leading to a turnover then he gets blown by on defense and because we have to come help it leads to an uncontested dunk for them.   Then there is Justin Wesley who cannot go for a rebound without fouling.   I can't believe that none of these bench players have stepped up at least a little.  

How was that not over the back on Baylor?

At both ends of the floor a guy went right over the back of T-Rob with no call.

T-Rob body english tells me we're in serious trouble tonight. We're playing well enough to get blown out by 20+ tonight.

At this pace, KU loses by 20+...this is pitiful

Well the good news is nobody is playing well and we are not down 50... yet.  The bad news is nobody is playing good and we will be down 50 at this rate. 

Was that a strong move to the rim by Withey?
