So frustrating and exciting and infuriating and amazing. So good and so not good in the same game. GREAT win for KU, they eally needed this win to stay in the conference race.

a major quality road win for KU.  Two is right...highs, lows, ebbs, flows, ugly, beautiful, frustrating, but a W nonetheless.  Amazing road win for KU.

Well, I definitely didn't like the way KU closed out, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.  Overall a decent game...Withey is a beast; good response to a 0 pt performance against Mizzou.  Speaking of Mizzou........

WE'RE READY!!!

My hope is that Baylor responds and beats Mizzou Saturday.

The ups and downs are definately something to do without, but still this was a huge road win.  Baylor is not a well coached team.  THey don't have the heart to beat Mizzou at Mizzou.  I will root for them, but they just don't have enough desire to win that game.

Now we can take care of business.  Its our realm to rule.  I think we can now end this season on a good if not huge win streak and then attain a #2 seed.  Tough games left are at KSU, OSU, and A/M.  Those teams are not what they have been in the recent years.  We should be aable to take of business and beat those teams on the road.

Fatigue.  We have now lost maybe one game for sure and not sure now that we didn't lose to Iowa St due to fatigue.  Teahan gave some really good minutes tonight.  Young gave some positive minutes overall.  Wesely, gave some fouls as usual.  Releford was on the stupid pills tonight.  Wow.  We lost the Mizzou game because our players were completely winded and once that happens TT and TRob don't play smart.  I now looking back on the ISU game think that was a factor as well.  So I think we better  get some kind of minutes from Tharpe, TEahan, Young and Wesely.  Not so much production, but minutes on the floor.  In the same token, Self better start utilizing timeouts around TV timeouts and get TT and TRob the extra time to rest some.  Every player was worn out with 3 minutes left yet in the g ame.

All in all not completely surprised we won tonight.  Maybe by how easy it was, but not the fact that we won.

Withey deserves the game ball tonight.

Did anyone notice the Baylor players expressions going into half?  They had that look of a  team that thought they were beat already.  They were hanging there heads and slapping the doorway as they exited the floor.

Adding  to my other comments, but if Withey can take the load off TRob, they both could be scoring and rebounding at a double double rate .

Why is it that we start so awfully slow and act as if we aren't in tune to the game until after the under 16 timeout or even after the under 12 timeout?

I wasn't able to watch the first ten minutes or so of the game because I was driving home. When I started watching, the score was Baylor-19 KU-9. When the Jayhawks got up by 20 in the second half (54-34), KU had out-scored Baylor 45-15 in about 20 minutes of gametime...on the road. Unbelievable. That was a huge win.

Hopefully, Baylor uses equal parts of anger and embarrassment to take out their frustrations in Columbia on Saturday. They pretty much need a win to salvage any title hopes they may still have. They should have all the motivation in the world to be at their best against mu. Go Bears!
