Look at Currys 3pt shot and I think Plumlees under the basket. Also I dont know who took the other 3 around the same time as those plays. Look overall refs were bad and helped Duke but the Defense and poor free throws hurt at the end.
come on many they were shooting Free throws at like the 8min mark. Refs were calling everything on UNC. Half them werent even real fouls. let them play. NBA does this too much and I hate when they do it in the playoffs. Let them win it on the court. Tonights game was great and I had a lot of fun watching it but in the end Refs had too much control. See Duke at the end of the year. Good Luck
Watching the game, I initially agree with you. My problem with officiating has always been consistency. Duke played a great game but I get tired of watching our big men get pushed around with no call and we get a ticky tack foul 40 ft from the basket. Officiating didnt lose the game for us. Duke made more plays when it counted and yes, that sucks a lot. Hopefully, we can return the favor at their place and close out the game like we should have.
Watched the game for the 2nd time, There were 2 very bad calls at the end of the game. Zellers Tip in for Duke was a clear push in the back, also the barnes charge was a joke. The guy was still moving and he tried sliding in when barnes was already up in the air. Overall bad job by the refs. Even ESPN mention how everything was going for Duke with some of the calls.
Look overall great game and this is why this is the #1 Rivalry in college basketball. Everything will be ok for UNC.
We see it the exact same way. The REFS DID NOT LOSE THIS GAME!!!! THE HEELS LOST IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FINISH!!...Dook simply took advanatge of calls that went their way and buried key shots in the process. You guys that are complaining about the Refs are an embarrasment to real men who can take their medicine and move forward. Grow a pair, grow up and stop crying....WE ARE UNC!!!! NO EXCUSES!!!!!
I agree that the Heels lost the game but the Refs got Duke back into the game. With out the Refs Duke is never in this game.
Its all good, time to move on. We have bigger goals for this season. learn from this.
Question: Is it me or does this team play lazy at end of games. Kentucky game we have our shot blocked and we just stood around with out fouling and last nights game Zeller didnt even play D. Also we have problems hitting late free throws.
We need a crazy mccants, psycho t or a vinsanity type personality on this team, some with an edge or chip on their shoulder to finish games with a killer type instinct per se
Good teams overcome bad officiating....It's apart of the game and apart of atheltics. We had plenty of chances to overcome bad calls last night and tanked every one of those opportunities. I understand what you are saying by "allowing" them back in...BUT...at the end of the day that mean nothing when your own play could have and should have sealed it.....
