I agree 100% we slowed down the final 4 minutes. Not to mention I was wondering why John Henson was not guarding Rivers the final few seconds. His arm stretch is longer then Zeller and the guy leads the league in blocks. UNC should have brought up Bullock to help double as well once the clock got down to 6 seconds to force him to either shoot a bad shot or perhaps throw a pass that could be intercepted if expected.
I love Coach Williams and the guy wins but UK and Duke this year he made the wrong calls which cost us the game in the final few seconds. Not call in timeout and putting the ball in the shooters hands cost us the game at UK and Zeller one on one defense call lost us the game last night along with bad free throws and slow tempo. One of the worst choke jobs in school history last night.
As for WWJD12 I really hope that was a sarcastic post. Coach Williams has won 80% of his games coached in his career and has won 2 national titles. The guy out recruits schools and brings in National Title Caliber teams. No way should Coach Williams go. He has made a few bad calls this year but is still UNC's best option for years to come.
UNC got 25 minutes from the bench, 6pts, 5rebs, 2assists, that's it. This is a huge problem going forward. They have to get more production but I feel Roy is scared to give them playing time which only hinders their growth. Get Hubert in there, Watts too.
Carolina has no perimeter game, offense OR defense. How many times, excuse me YEARS, do we have to see the exact same situations play out before Roy addresses the issue? The players obviously haven't been coached properly on how to defend the three line. Our players are so out of position it's like their first time on the court. Do we have anyone on this team who can fire 3-balls and make one? These teams who can fire 30 three point shots at UNC are always going to be in the game. That's how teams with less talent even the stakes and send you packing in the NCAA tourney.
This loss is going to linger for awhile I'm afraid. You don't lose up 10 with 3mins to go on a last second shot, on national TV, in the biggest rivalry, on your home court, and battling for first place without it affecting you. Roy needs to pull this team together quickly.

Honestly to sum it up if you don't play good perimeter defense and don't shoot the three ball well that a combo for disaster. Mix that with dook shooting three like it no tomorrow and that why we loss. We outscore them by triple in the paint by they made it up in the three department. We gotta fix one or the other if you don't wanna defend the three then you better make make some. For what ever reason pj lost his touch bullock didn't take that many and Barnes ankle not being healthy. Part of this is also coaching arm chair qb or not what dook does is no mystery no mystery so Roy has gotta use some common sense in the last 2min. Call plays shoot waste clock make sure ball handlers are clutch free throw maker.
Of course I'm being sarcastic by the way people are talking lets just fire coach now and end the season cause it's over. It's stupid and ridiculous and I hate when we get spoiled and act privileged we just sound stupid. We cant go undeafeted every year people this is exactly why SOME UNC fans get a bad rap as fairweather fans.I don't need to know coach Williams' resume cause I know it and respect him and I stand behind my team. The season is not over because we lost one game (albeit to our biggest rival in gut wrenching fashion) did unconn last year say their season was over? How about duke the year before that both were not the best teams and they found a way to get it done. Last year we struggled and we figured it out at the right time to win the ACC regular season and make a run in the tournament . For those of you who feel the season is over (shoktart, royzboyz, blackflagmafia, and jigga023) then stop watching get ready for baseball nd spring ball since our team and coach sucks so much that you can't stand to watch anymore and I'll be here cheering my team on and when they lose be upset and get over it and have faith that coach willams will fix it and we will be back stronger than ever cause he's done it before twice actually.
It's Easy.. 1. If we're playing lousy with a lead then use the clock.. back the ball out and run the clock. Even if we run the shot clock out then we end the game 30 seconds early with the lead with just 3 trips down the court.
2. And at 10 minutes left, K is in the refs ear and Roy should be there too. That's a no - no. Roy work the refs, call a TO and say run the clock. We're shooting with 10 to 12 seconds on the clock and shoot it at 2 seconds.
I hate to lose to dook in OUR house like everybody else. So we learn and move on. Roy, we work the clock and the refs.
