MAJOR TRADE PROPOSAL BULLS-LAKERS-CELTICS

Exactly Skavball24, riskier for Bulls (and perhaps Lakers, but I think less so).

I'm a huge Bulls fan, and this is an "all in" trade for us,

But it's pretty hilarious the Celtics fans freaking out on it when for their end it's a slam dunk as being the facilitator of the deal.

leaving the team with NO shooting guards isnt exactly a slam dunk even i conceede that boozer would be nice in green (which by the way i havent denied that, as ive said its the money not the talent we are talking about)

you dont need to sell me on wether boozer is a stud (on some level)

if you can put yourself in danny's shoes and tell me what the heck he would do for the rest of the season with no shooting guards followed by a draft loaded with power forward and center talent. which would force danny to draft 2 guard in a draft with really no 2 guards to speak of.

give me a good hypothetical on just how danny would actually make his team have all 5 positions and (simultaneously) rebuild

and ill concede it more of a dunk then you think it is.

MAJOR TRADE PROPOSAL BULLS-LAKERS-CELTICS

Fact is you don't have a long term shooting guard on your roster right now, so Danny needs to find one regardless of what happens, and having some assets, like Asik to trade, your likely deep lottery pick from Minny (by virtue of OKC), the pick from Chicago, Asik, etc and the future Charlotte option, leaves Ainge fully capable of adding more to the team down the line.

Plus Pietrus is decent enough to fill the gap for the rest of this year as a SG, he's not great, but he's not bad, and in the dip there, you are improving your post play though better rebounding and much more offense (and if you kept Asik, better defense as well).

Bulls won yesterday not because of guard play, but because of post play.  Boston still has that defense with KG leading hte way, but they can't rebound and have a hard time with easy scores.

MAJOR TRADE PROPOSAL BULLS-LAKERS-CELTICS

I think if I'm the Lakers I don't like the deal unless they can flip Deng etc for Deron. 7 foot guys with Gasol's offensiive abilities don't grow on trees. If they are going to lose thier biggest strength they should be filling thier biggest need which is point guard.

The Celtics are getting a pretty good deal here IMO. Only thing bad is length of Boozers contract. That said Boozer is a solid player and I really like the picks.

The Bulls would be risking chemistry and some decent draft picks for a win now lose later type of move. They would be trading youth for experience which in this case probably a good idea since they need a team that can get past the Miami Juggernaut. For the Lakers part of the trade it's basically Deng for Gasol(I think you are overrating CJ Watson, but then most fans overrate thier players), which is a win for sure. Also unloading Boozer's large contract for Ray Allen costs 2 draft picks and a decent backup center(a bit steep). Since Ray Allen wouldn't take up much cap and would allow the Bulls more flexibility in future for upgrading the bench. The overall deal makes the Bulls better in the short term and also gives them flexiblity to get stay young but in the end they are already so good do you really want to mess with the chemistry they already have. Although I admit this does sound good. Noah, Gasol, Allen and Rose damn scary.
