I'm fine with the trash talking n taunting its part of sports I can live with it. Just don't get mad or upset when it happens back at yall march3. Most people don't care about taunting till it happens to their favorite team Austin was beast that night he heard the right to flex. Just make sure he brings it or his teammates bring it march3 UNC learn a bitter lesson and won't take duke lightly

If Carolina was down by 13 in the 2nd half and came back on my boys and you drained a 3 pointer at the buzzer, I would question the heart if they didn't celebrate. What happened when the kid drained a 3 against Duke in Cameron? He went crazy and celebrated, as one should do. Rivers didn't go straight to the student section talking shizz, he hit the shot and once he realized it happened, he ran down court in excitement and got tackled by his teammates. He didn't make any gestures to the carolina faithful or try stirring some crap up like you guys are claiming.

No one debates the right to celebrate.  Taunting is another story.  Like it or not, it was wrong and we won't forget.

It was not WRONG to celebrate/talk trash after hitting a big shot. Becuase it was Rivers, the guy that everyone hates, hit the shot. Again, I dont hear you saying anything about Michael Snaer when he did the EXACT same thing in Cameron. Its the 4 letters across the chest that makes you mad

We will have the last laugh in this rivalry this year- mark my words.  Dex wouldve shut down Rivers like he does his sister.  We will bounce back from this loss.  Everyone in their right mind knows that we are clearly the better team- but we choked... trust me though- that won't happen again! Can't wait for the rematch at Dook.

For all of you soft wimps out there that take this stuff too seriously, what "taunting" did Rivers do?  I didn't see any taunting.

He single handedly beat us at our house.  End of story.  Roy got outcoached and our team got outplayed again.  Rivers and Duke wanted it more.  They showed more heart and toughness than our team (this current group of players) ever has.

I am a carolina fan and have been my entire life.  I think rivers is a great INDIVIDUAL talent and that being said he is not the type you generally see playing for duke.  The fact that he is a great individual talent is where it gets duke in trouble come post season in my opinion.  If rivers is on like he was against UNC then there is really no problem and even in that game he threw away several oppurtunities to aid in the come back when they were down in the 2nd half by luanching a few ill advised 3's without even a pass being made.  He takes the great team play duke is known for out of the equation and makes them more 1 dimensional, yes several players may step up here or there but are watching for the most part.  Duke will be in trouble if he starts off well in a game then goes cold the rest of the players will have to try and re engage themselves after watching rivers do things by himself for a a half or whatever the timeline may be.  No matter who you are this is hard to do.  So unless he is able to incorporate the rest of his team on a regular basis my prediction is that he will go cold in a game in march after starting hot and the rest of the team will have gone cold from doing nothing since the start of the game and duke will end up out of the tourney.  But if he stays hot for 6 games well we all know how that ends....Kemba Walker.

My friend (who's a Duke fan) and I agreed a couple months back that Austin Rivers could single handedly win or lose any game for Duke this year.  He's a great shooter and oozing with confidence, and I don't see him necessarily having the maturity at this point to prevent himself from shooting his team out of a game.

Interested to see what this kid can do from now until the end of the season.
