great defense by gasol not giving up on the play. Ray Allen was going in for the put back buzzer beater win (which was almost automatic) and gasol blocked it when everyone else had stopped on the play.

great game and it sucks to be on the losing end. but id expect nothing less then bonus time and going down to the buzzer.

i was stunned that doc had rondo guarding kobe so much in regulation in the 2nd half. hes a great deffender but he doesnt have the size to stop kobe one on one... not sure what doc was thinking there

anywho great game

enjoy the bragging rights for the regular season its a shame we dont get a round 2 this year because of the strike.

Didn't you see the refs almost choke on their whistles?  You saw Kobe double-dribble.  I saw Kobe double-dribble.  The refs saw Kobe double-dribble.  They didn't call it, Kobe hit a two point shot, the Lakers win by one.  Great play by your big three.  Poor shooting to close the game out by KG.  Good win.  Word.

guessing you don't have TIVO.  I played it back just once and the ball hit Ray's shin so it wasn't a double-dribble.  He picked it up and drained the tough J -- wouldn't have it any other way.  At least you didn't blame the L on the refs like your boy Crunch.

Yeah, I agree. I thought that Gasol and Kobe were really good and Bynum rebounded and defended well. The Lakers are just so much bigger inside and that was the difference. I hope you know that my comment wasn't directed at you. I don't recall you ever blaming the refs. But you know as well as I do, that there are many C's fans who think that the only games the C's lose are the one's that the refs cause (you know who they are).

I don't know, probably. I never blame the refs. It's the players job to adjust to the way the game is being called. However, I also never said that there aren't Laker fans that blame every loss on the refs.

Seriously though, you're right Rock, Kobe definitely got away with one. Overall, I thought the game was fairly well officiated. There was a pretty big discrepancy in free throws, but that was more the result of the Lakers going inside for their points while the C's were doing more scoring from the perimeter.

It was a great game. Fun to watch (and my opinion would have been the same if the C's had won).

It just showed that we need one more Lakers/Celtics finals with these core players.
