Meyer the obvious No. 1 choice when it comes to...

Rich Rod #2?  Of what, the all-time losers?  He recruits Teflon DB's -- they can't stick with anybody.  He recruits tiny RB's.  They won't stand up to the pounding that they'll get from the Big Uglies at USC, Oregon & Washington.  Oh, and that Desert Swarm Defense that Arizona is so proud of?  They'll now be known as the Dessert Swarm because other teams will just eat them up.  His idea of defense is let the other team score so he can have the ball again.

Arizona is in for some really lean times until they can his butt and get someone who knows something other than offense.

Jim Mora puts together a recruiting class ranked by Rivals.com in the top 10 and is 15th best hire after schools with new coaches who had recruiting classes not even in the top 25 higher than Mora? By the way the guy was not a bad Pro Football coach or at least as good as Carroll did and is doing now and he is ranked below Leach the so called mad scientist with zero talent in the Great Northwest? To me, that is not an article that is well thought out and just an easy grab at the "big" college names. Rich Rodriguez a great hire huh? Yeah he did great in Michigan. He had endless talent and could not handle it on the big stage and all of a sudden he is a great hire to make Arizona a powerhouse?? Good luck, but I think Mora will have the best record of the PAC 12hires over the next 4 years which makes him a better hire.

Without the lacking rules in the SEC Saban would be just an above average coach.  Just like he was at Mich. St.

In 3 years, Hugh Freeze will go down as the worst hire of all of these. Worse than Nutt and worse than Orgeron before that

Urban was a great coach when he had Mullen and Strong but after they jumped ship either he made bad hires or when most of the load was on him he became mediocre and quit. The talent he had in 09' & 10' was great but he didnt seem to have many answers. He has won 2 titles and can recruit but im not so sure how he will do without a Strong,Mullen or Whitingham by his side.Urban #4

Nah, the article didnt mention Mattison at all.    It said Urban Meyer was the best coach PERIOD.

Its funny that Michigan's record was due to favorable scheduling last year and the Pointsetta Bowl winner was responsible for it all.  I guess anything but Richrod was better.

Did you see USC's recruiting class this year. Per Rivals Recruiting, USC was the only team with a greater than 4-Star average per
commit. With NCAA restrictions and all. And they redshirted over 30 freshmen and others last year.

wahtiger, I have to agree with you. I did like Meyer until he quit on the team during the 2010 season. He let Dumbazzio call all the offense and didn't seem to really care how poorly the team played. When he "quit for health reasons" I felt a tad bit guilty for being so hard on him. But after reading all the events that led to him taking the osu job, I felt that it was all a calculated move. He will win games, but beware osu fans. As soon as his next "dream job" opens up he will quit on you too.
