Listen, I dislike Calipari as much as anyone, but a small part of me likes the way he doesn't care what people think about him. I don't think he gets top recruiting classes year in and year out without bending a few rules or just outright lying to recruits to get them to his schools. It's just not likely because if you look at the other top coaches and programs, they have a down recruiting year from time to time.

UNTIL he does something illegal @ Kentucky, y'all need to shut the phUK**** up. Direct your rage towards UConn and their predicaments. The Coach CAL @ UConn has more to worry about than the Coach Cal @ Kentucky!!!

Notanidiot, I was wondering what sort of lies you are thinking about. Virtually every player says the same thing. He did not make me any promises. He never said I would get guaranteed playing time or a position given to me. As far as recruiting, why would he have a down year. Don't you think these kids see the fast track to the NBA. He is extremely charismatic, wins games, and expedites the road to millions of dollars. Your comment makes me think you are a very intelligent person. So Cal is lying to them? If Cal was lying to the players like you suggest, not nearly as many would come to UK. It would spread pretty quick by former players saying he lied and this would stop a lot of recruits from coming there and he certainly would not be working on his 4th number 1 class and winning the title this year, and spare me the vacate bologna.

Bill Self had a down year this past year after getting loads of talent. I guess he is lying and cheating to huh? Just because he has not had a down year in recruiting does NOT mean he is cheating. It means that UK has open spots for players to come in and fight for a starting position every year with the roster turnover.

I thought it was a clever quote from Cal, but I also thought the UK2GAY shirts Vandy was selling was clever too. 

As far a Cal lying to the players. Except for  a few duds that have transferred I dont see any players upset with their experience with him. I hate the one and done stuff but you cant blame Cal for exploiting it for recruiting and can't blame the players for going after the money and like I've said on here several times before if you think you're program is perfect then you are sadly mistaken, there are violations at every school form UK to every other top ranked school to Div III Podunk Community College.  

I thought Cals comment about two years being vacated was straight up funny.  He don't care what any of you haters think.....and sergio...no-one including Cal cares what you think.

Definitely his comment was funny. The "presidential" remark was a tad douchey, but not like Doug Gottleib douchey. And in a couple of years, he'll be able to joke that he hasn't aged at all when they vacate the last couple of seasons at Kentucky.

@ UofM, justaguy, tnzazz, & doomhaynes.... All the envy that you gals show on here just lets Cal & all of the UK fans know that they are doing something right. Seems to me you should be worried about your own coaches getting out on the recruiting trail & improving your own team's chances of winning instead of worrying about someone else. But I know haters like you gals are gonna hate on something because your schools can't keep up & that's allright too. Maybe if your teams get in the t-ment you will have a chance to cheer past the first weekend, but I doubt it unless it's in the NIT. Have a nice day.
