This game is at 10 am.... so get your picks in.... It's really hard right now. We're really struggling and it's painful to watch us be mediocre. I think i would rather us be 10-50 than hover around .500... knowing the potential is there and just not being able to do anything about it. when you suck... there aren't any expectations and it's easier to deal with losses.
I've been totally swamped with work and I totally spaced on last night's game at the Garden, did set the DVR, didn't get my prediction in - I think for the first time ever in this contest. By the sounds of everyone's disgust, I suppose it's just as well. I am a little flummoxed with this ongoing Jeremy "Linsanity" business...especially being that the Lakers actually considered him at one time. Anyway, bad loss for the Lakers against the Knicks - but fear not my friends, there is stil much more basketball to be played - all is not lost.
Lakers - 101
Raptors - 95
Lakers head into the Toronto game seething from the embarrasment at the Garden. I feel sorry for the Raptors as Kobe is gonna be fed up with "Linsanity" questions heading into Sundays match-up. If we were coming into the Raptor game having played Saturday night I might be fearful of a let down but we should be somewhat rested and ready to go.
What's up ateam, yes I think this is year 6 or 7. Hopefully some good news is I maybe able to move my seats next year. All painful bs aside I'm still down with the Lakers.
F the Clippers
Go lakers!
First it's Tebow mania and now Linsanity. If only I could get my hands on a sharp object inside these padded walls Oh and Danica Patrick is coming to save NASCAR, you would think the end of the world was near or something.
Anyway on a brighter note... our team is just not good. At this stage of Kobe's career I am suprised we have not heard more from him. he wants to win that 6th ring and this team currently has no shot. Normally he would be alot more vocal on his displeasure of the team performance so do we think he feels they will get it together OR is he just to preoccupied with the divorce or what?
Anyway, unless Mr Pickemrite thinks it's the 1980's all over again and starts picking games to be 119 to 115 the rest of us are just trying to pick a perfect score
Got stuck in L.A. traffic and didn't make it back in time to put in my numbers for the last contest. Oh, well, that will make my comeback all the more impressive.
Lakerjim32, the Linsanity makes more sense than the Tebow mania. It's only taking place in New York, where is should. And there are many Asian excited about him, which is understandable with the lack of Asian players in the league. I like him for the mere fact that he breaks all the stereotypes. Yes, Yao Ming was before him, but Yao, like many big men, had size which could compensate for any lack of game.
Lin has game. But the real test is when Melo and Amare come back. The big piece missing from last year for the Knicks is Billups, who was able to distribute the ball to the big stars and allowed Melo from feeling like he needed to hog the ball. If Melo doesn't see a need to "take the team back" then they should be fine. Lin is a great ball distributor. He's something the Lakers need, a ball distributor who can score if need be.
Not happy at all with the Lakers play in the fourth quarter. But Kobe came up big in the final minute. Kobe was Kobe in crunch time. Glad we got the win, but that was ugly.
