Ken, no offense intended, but you must be roughly twelve years old and just fallen from the turnip truck if you truly believe that "It was a different vibe at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, and when you go back in time and try to find something that compares, you come up with nothing." Compared to many a heavyweight prize fight or music concert, last night's crowd was sedate and well-comported.

This, of course, means an NBA title for the Knicks. There is no competition. The media should really stop referring to Lin as Taiwanese and should refer to him as Chinese. It would be the same as referring to American baseball players in Japan as being New Jerseyians instead of Americans. The proper way to refer to Lin (and I am an expert in this area) is to say he is a Chinese from Taiwan; Just as you would refer to an American from New Jersey who plays in another country. Lin will become a sensation in both Mainland China and Taiwan, which will soon become part of Mainland China. It should be a lot of fun for everyone concerned and open a lot of doors for Chinese athletes in the future.

The Knicks should of waited till this year to get Anthony and not given up the TEAM players for him. They are paying the price for their impatience. See what a team player can do. I hope Anthony and Amare can blend in with Lin when they come back. How about a Anthony for Love trade ?

Things will get bumpy when Stat and Melo return, and the Knicks might look lost for a few games while they all get used to one another, but if the fans don't blow it all out of proportion and give it a little time, this could end up as a tough team to beat.

Melo n amare will shine once back. Melo won't have to take 30 shots a game and most Importantly. Stat has his pick n roll back. Landry is going to be more involved and folks no one can knock our bench any longer Novak is a nice edition and Jeffries is lookin good. Shump wil be good enough to give Lin a breather. When Davis comes back we will be set

Keep your politics to yourself. This is a sport site not a state run, communist government site. Taiwan is sovereign bud. I'll keep referring to Lin as Taiwanese thank you very much.

"...cultural phenomenom..." Hmmm. Guess that means he's not black (and lacking in tats and other gangsta culture looks). lol I love it. Lin and Rubio....stealing the NBA spotlight. When Melo and Amare return, Lin's shots attempted will diminish radically..but for now IT IS FUN!

This could get interesting. We'll see if the MSG faithful start booing their overpaid "stars" when they come back and suck the energy out of this rally. Lin has been sensational, but has been hoisting 15-20 shots a game. Unless the NBA starts letting the Knicks play with three basketballs, there is going to be trouble. A spoiled, overpaid, underachieving "star" like Stoudamire thinks he's entitled to so many shots a game, and there will be massive pouting if he doesn't get them. He will not accept a lesser role in the offense, regardless of if they are winning. Anthony is the key. While I always thought of him as a prima donna as well, I think he does care about winning. If he is willing to be more a facilitator, and necessarily give up a few shots a game, the team has a chance at meshing.

They should cut Melo, B. Davis and Bibby and start with Lin, Tyson and Amare to run the pick and roll. Melo will kill this run just you watch, ball hogs don't do well with team basketball just as Kobe.
