killicli fouling out was huge playing a part in keeping WV scoreless those last four minutes of the game.

Good thing for u of l that the refs quite calling fouls on them late, although the way WVU was shooting free throws I'm not sure it would have mattered anyway.

Did I just see WVU fans blaming the refs? WVU is notorious for home cooking.

WVU is terrible this season, along w/ UL and the Big East. Both teams will be lucky to get in the tourney. UL's record is deceiving, and they've beaten no one. They're just lucky this isn't the Big East's year. As usual, there will be a Morehead State waiting in the 1st or 2nd round for the Cards!

Oh look, a UK fan complaining about how bad the Big East is...exactly how many times has your team lost to a Big East opponent in March? I mean, UConn, Marquette, WVU... and if I'm not mistaken, it was this same Louisville team that gave UK a good run for their money in Rupp, when they weren't even fully healthy. I only wish we could play in the watered down SEC, where the second best team lost to...Rutgers. As you were...

@fairmindedfan.....No you didn't see a WVU fan blaming the refs.......Don't like either team. As a matter of fact, I can't stand the overhyped big least.

BTW, Morgantown has always had awful officiating. This is just the first time I rememer it working against the Mountaineers. Then again, if WVU makes their free throws (the extra dozen or so), they win.

good thing the refs ignored wvu fouls for most of the game or they would have lost by 30

Um, considering I'm no longer in high school, I could care less. But hey, thanks for reminding me that I got a top notch education.

Usually you are pretty much on target.  But that last comment I couldn't agree with.  About the second best club in SEC lost to Rutgers.

I ntoiced that the second place team in the Big East has lost to 2 SEC teams(one of which was LSU which is in the bottom tier of the league) and one was at home.  Just comparing the second best teams in each conference.

fairmindedfan, the refs were fine if this was a football game. I mean, I'm not sure how a pair of downright tackles get missed, but they were. I hear Charlie Strong plans to use the latter as a demonstration of proper form in the open field. I only got to watch the last 10 minutes and only saw one other call blown. (UofL player kicked the ball out of bounds and they called it off of WVU) So 3 bad calls in 10 minutes. I've seen worse from Big East refs. Had WVU hit their FTs they win it. If Browne could bring the ball up court without needing 10 seconds to decide where to go with it, WVU wins.

And if Behanan hadn't missed 2 wide open layups in the first half, UofL wins by more. And if UofL hadn't broken down midway through the first half with several turnovers in a row and poor transition defense, the Cards win in a blowout.

Seriously, "what ifs" are so pointless in basketball, because both sides can always improve.

Now that the Cards on the this winning streak, they haven't played anyone. Half of you sound the this no nonsense experts that think they know everything about a team that hasn't been healthy all season. Instead of giving the Cards their just due after a win they probably felt they wouldn't have won, they downplay the opponent, typical experts, and so called fans. What will happen if Louisville beats Syracuse, then what excuse will come up, and it could very well happen since we've had their # for the last few years!!!!! Go Cards all day long!!!!! To every UK fan out there, I look forward to another Big East team ending your season once again. If we're in the Big Least (as you call it), and that conference with a different team ends your season year after year, then what does that make UK??? That's what I thought!!!!!!

louisville4life, I was pointing out that WVU left a lot of points on the floor, not playing the what if game. Can't blame the refs when you leave 20 points on the floor and lose by 3.

Yeah, Browne kept giving up the dribble. He wasn't forced into a trap, he'd just give up the dribble. Freshman mistake, but at this point in the year he should know how to break the press.
