same old Baylor, Drew can apparently recruit (he's got another "Top 5" class for next year) but he sure as hell can't coach - why you'd stay in that zone with all the supposedly great NBA type athletes, while a much smaller team is bombing 14 3-pointers, is a mystery that will never be solved. Perry Jones looks like a guy who was a stud in high school because he was better than everyone he played against, he's been non-existent in 4 games against KU and MU this year
I hope the NCAA is giving significant amount of scruitiny at what's going on in Waco. Too many very good basketball players flocking to play for a marginal at best coach. What are the reasons top players would do that? It sure isn't the rich basketball history at Baylor.
And what a waste of Perry Jones' talent. He needs to get to the pro's quickly before Drew completely ruins him.
A solid victory for Mizzou. Mizzou got crushed on the boards and still pulled it off with great shooting. Of course, distraught KU fans will soon comment here that the refs gave the game to Mizzou. :-)
I love Mizzou fans. They beat KU but 3 points at home and somehow they are going to lay the beatdown in Lawrence. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Win the game at KU first, then talk smack.
topofstack, I'm confused, where did you see any MIZZOU fans stating the they would essentially lay the beatdown on KU in Lawrence in this thread? I mean really, why even go there. Everyone here was talking basically how overrated Baylor is and how Legit MIZZOU is. Once again we all know that both of the top two teams in the BIG-12 still have some tough games ahead of them and if they don't take care of business could lose as many as two on the way toward the hope for a conference title. KU is good. MU is good. Let's just play it out and see how it all goes...and be classy in our posts...
Baylor has only lost to Mizzou and Kansas. The home and home has killed them this year. Any other year and they would have 2 losses at this point. Scott Drew continues to be the biggest waste of talent in the country.
Sorry topofstack! There is no way we MIZZOU fans should be trying to talk smack and stoke the fires of hate. Heck, there flaming high enough to be even talking stuff like that. The Fogg is NO joke! That place is one of the hardest places to come out of with a win. I am not saying it can't be done, in fact, I'd like to see MIZZOU come out of there with the win. But being a realist here, I know it will be one of the toughest games of the year. Believe me, Bill Self will keep the following phrase in his players ears "PROTECT YOUR HOUSE!!!" That phrase will ring in their ears every day, every practice they have as they prepare for the MIZZOU game. Go MIZZOU!
This essentially knocks Baylor out of contention for the Big 12 race. They were a pretender all along. And as for Mizzoodle, well, enjoy this nice little string whilst you can; 'cause when you come to the Phog, the wheels will fall off your ugly black and gold wagon.
"topofstack, I'm confused, where did you see any MIZZOU fans stating the they would essentially lay the beatdown on KU in Lawrence in this thread? I mean really, why even go there. "
From '99 Rams: "gonna be the same for kansas in lawrence "
That's right. Fogg Allen is a Missouri native. That's NO joke! The beakers didn't have anyone smart enough to coach basketball, so they built a shine to a Missourian. LOL
It is also PHOG Allen not FOGG. And he was smart enough to escape the stench of missouri.
Mizzou fans better hope KU slips up before the game at AFH - there is no chance KU loses that one. And mizzou is finally relevant in their last season as Big 12 member. I think had they remained in the big 12 they would go back to being irrelevant - this is a senior ladden team and Haith is probably version 2.0 of Bruce Weber. Rock Chalk!
