Mizzou's sharp shooting sinks Baylor

"One thing I don't understand regarding KU fans?   You love to throw in our face that Mizzou has never been to a Final Four, like just getting there is all that matters???  I've got news for you, nobody remembers 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place ragarding the Final Four."

Slippy, I am starting to feel bad for you. You are starting to really carry on like the doofus San Diego State fans were last year. It's kind of embarassing what a little success has done to you. It is shining a bright spotlight on your cluelessness.
The Final Four isn't ALL that matters, but IT MATTERS.

I am glad that you are so geeked up about Mizzou's success, but don't lose your mind.

And for the 10,000th time, if you want to talk about football, there is a college football message board where you can start all the threads that you want.

No....just tired of reading the same response when doubting the Tigers.

We all know us Mizzou fans will be bragging about a Final 4 appearance..... I'm just asking the question, what is dominant???

New York Yankees?

Boston Celtics?

UCLA Bruins?

There is more of a gap between KU and these teams...vs KU and Mizzou.... just saying.

Also, first time I've ever been compared to San Diego State????  Good lord, does Kiwi Leonard still play????

I've been nailing my predictions lately....tonight K-State wins by 4 points.... GUARD PLAY wins the game tonight...K-State shoots 45% from 3 point land for the victory.

Dominant is what Kansas has been in the hostory of the Big 12 and versus Mizzouri in the Big 12. Versus the rest of the nation, Kansas has "merely" been consistently excellent.

"Also, first time I've ever been compared to San Diego State????  Good lord, does Kiwi Leonard still play????"

I spent most of last year listening to how SDSU was "destined" to make their first Final Four after playing an easy non-conference schedule and eeking out conference wins to stay ranked. Mizzou is a much better offensive team than SDSU was last year, but their fans are similarly ignoring their weaknesses because they haven't hurt them too bad YET. Counting on consistently overcoming matchup problems is a game of Russian Roulette. It is POSSIBLE to be successful in Russian Roulette 20 times in a row, but eventually the odds will even out. There are simply too many good teams in the NCAA tourney to dodge the bullet that many times.

You never know when upsets and matchups shine in your favor, but I would be very careful and quiet about singing about a Final Four appearance if I was a Mizzou fan right now.

To be fair, San Diego State was the best team in its regional and should have made the Final Four, but ran into Kemba Walker going off. That wasn't off-base from the Aztec fans, that should have happened.

Thank you for making my point. SDSU fans THOUGHT they were the greatest team on the planet and overlooked the FACTS that they had played a piss-poor non-con and their league wasn't very good.

They lost to the first decent team they played in the tourney. I have a hard time believing that a #2 seed that needed 2OT to beat #7 seed Temple (in Tuscon, just a 6 hour drive from their campus in San Diego) and then lost to a #3 seed that was playing it's 8th game in 17 days in Anaheim, just 90 minutes from SDSU's campus, was "the best team in their Regional".

So close. KU STUNK in this game and still won. KSU just short of 45% from 3 (22%).

You were right that guard play would be the difference as KSU's starting PG had ZERO points on 0-8 fg with 7 turnovers while Taylor went for 20 AGAIN. Withey just misses a triple double with 18pts, 11 boards and 9 blocks.

Then you clearly don't know basketball. San Diego State was better than UConn last year and Temple was very good. Besides, why is it that hard to believe San Diego State was the best team in its regional when your team lost to Virginia Commonwealth in Texas? VCU won that day, but we both know Kansas was the better team.

SDSU fans THOUGHT they were the greatest team on the planet and overlooked the FACTS that they had played a piss-poor non-con and their league wasn't very good.
That second one is not a fact. Their league last year was very good.

Because I WATCHED all of the teams that we're talking about play over the course of the year, SDSU included. SDSU wasn't a better overall team than Duke, UConn, Arizona or Texas last year. They were seeded #2 based on their bloated W/L/ record. They were the fifth best team in that Regional last year and lost in the Elite Eight as I expected them to. If they were seeded based on ability, they would have been out in the Sweet Sixteen.

"That second one is not a fact. Their league last year was very good."

Almost half their conference was completely non-competitive. Air Force was 6-11 in conference games, Utah 6-11, Wyoming 3-14 and TCU 2-16. The Mountain West had three very good teams, but it wasn't an overall good league. When half your league games are against non-competitve teams, this leads to a bloated W/L record.
