Tiger trying to catch Wi, and third-round 67 si...

If Wi and Duke even remotely head south in the final round the sponors will be in dreamland. Even to start the round the crowd following Phil and Tiger will be insane... Its close enough that its 1,2,3,4 against themselves and let the field play out as it may,and see who comes out on top.

Elling, you're an idiot. I buy nothing about their first encounter. I buy nothing about your ability to write coherent sentences. You are, and always have been a tiger Woods hater. Please learn to write about some of the other players on the PGA Tour!

What the hell happened to Harrington? I was thinking he was the one to give Woods trouble tomorrow, more than any of the others. Should be fun!

It should be a great finish tomorrow. Charlie Wi trying to nail down his first PGA Tour win. Some big names lurking..Tiger, Phil, Padraig..Dustin Johnson in the mix..Ken Duke.

I think Charlie is going to have to back up a bit for someone to catch him. I think his number is 68 he needs to shoot for.

Thanks for this great, informative article. I didn't know any of this stuff about Tiger Woods. Whereas "[Wi] has a three-stroke lead over Ken Duke" was sufficient mention of Duke, because the media has been All Ken Duke All The Time for way too long. "The scary part is, it's been three rounds of fits and spurts -- Woods hasn’t remotely pieced together all the parts on the same day." Whereas, of course, all the other players do the best they possibly can every single shot every single day.

Folks, fasten your seat belts as Tiger and Phil will have a great game tomorrow. Can you imagine the crowd that will be following them? If Charlie Wi falters, say play at par, Tiger will catch up with him. Ken is a non factor, he will fade away after the first 6 holes.

You're welcome, Lanny, I love watching all the haters get their shorts in a knot. Was it you who bet me 10K Woods wouldn't do better than -7 for the entire tournament? And some other genius predicted his weekend rounds would be in the 70's.

I wish the CBS and Golf Channel reporters did not openly cheer against Charlie Wi.  They are perhaps ignorant of golf etiquette, but cheering against players is not something that is done in golf.

Looking at the scoreboard, I did not realize Padraig had a bogey and a double in his last three holes.  Nor was I aware Young Mister Bramlett had a six-hole stretch he played in +7.  Very disappointing; he had been playing solidly all week.

I bet you 10,000 dollars Woods wouldn't shoot -7?  Tell me more about this.  Also, why are you telling me I'm welcome.  Is Kingston = Elling?

What are you, seven years old?

I got a lot of 'heat' for stating Tiger's biggest loss has be the loss of respect of the old guard (strong family men), like Nicklaus, and Palmer, which effects his game, and which he can never gain back. I don't think he will win tomorrow; however, it is natural for him to play better out West, in more forgiving surroundings, but watch him really fade when he moves eastward and plays in tournaments hosted by the Old bulls. Not fair? Nope; but it is what it is.

It's good to have Tiger back in the hunt. He always makes things interesting when he's playing well. Nonetheless I'll be pulling for Wi. Can't wait to hear the post round interviews asking him all about how it was to follow behind Tiger and Phil.

Old_Codger, yes you'll get heat for that because Palmer chased after tail in every town just like Woods is doing. "strong family man" phhhhhhht! Only difference is in Arnie's time, there was no internet, and also the press was more likely to protect its darlings. Lanny, you seem out of sorts.

Jesus Steve, if Tiger Woods didn't exist, neither would your "job" of reporting the PGA news

Rick, I stand corrected. After seeing your response to my comment, I googled Arnie's history. didn't know that about him. Goes to show, one isn't very well advised if they depend on the press to keep them well informed.
