Mike Brown is a bad coach. The players in Cleveland did not respect him, ever. He was a motivator only, and his record was ONLY because Lebron James. Everyone knew that before the Lakers hired him. It was the most shocking hire in the NBA that I've ever seen.

I hate Mike Brown as a coach. He is making the Lakers a laughing stock having players like McRoberts and Murphy on the floor in crunch time. PUT YOUR DAMN STARTERS ON THE FLOOR IN CRUNCH TIME. Where were Artest and Fisher during the critical last part of the Knicks game? The man is an idiot.

Having ice watter in your veins is not enough if A) you are a poor shooter, B) you take poor shots in the waning moments of close games, C) you shoot a layup and it doesn't even hit the rim D) you don't make your free throws even when you get bailed out of a poor play by the referees and E) you're turnover prone. It does not help to believe you're going to make big shots if you don't actually make them and you haven't made any since the last time the lakers won the championship, and in that season you only made a few. If Mike Brown is a bad coach (I've seen a lot worse in the NBA), it's not because he does not play MWP in the fourth quarter. A case can be made for MWP playing in the fourth if he will be guarding the opponent's best player, but this does not mean that he should take shots. Sure, MWP should always take an easy layup or an open 15 footer, or make a play out of the post, but there's no reason for him to take a 3-pointer near the end of a close game.

You don't have to be a stats guy to know that any player focused on basketball should hit more than 51% from the line. Meta is not performing and his laying blame on his coach is not fair. The Lakers need to shut up and play hard and give the new system a chance. Then if it doesn't work, it's on Brown. But Lakers do need to make a move. Fisher is getting old, Meta is slowing down, they need an influx of new legs and an acceptance of new roles for their aging players.

It may be easy for some people to blame Mike Brown. If you look back to the Lakers last games with Phil Jackson you're watching the series that the Lakers played against Dallas, and they got embarrassed!! They didn't look like they had ice flowing through their veins, they looked like thugs that didn't deserve to be on the same floor as the Mavericks. Before the players blame the coach, they should take a long hard look in the mirror at the most recent basketball they've been playing, because its about as good of quality as their record indicates. Kobe is leading the team in scoring, but at what expense. He's been incredibly inefficient and is putting up a lot of shots in order to get those numbers. I think the Lakers miss Lamar Odom more than anyone would like to admit, and I think they miss the intangible energy and explosiveness that Shelden Brown used to bring to their game. The Lakers have taken a step back, and I don't believe from what I've seen that the players aren't a large part of that step back.

You want Stats but you Laker fans don't want to take a look at how Kobe is killing your team. Big deal he scores 30 points but takes 30 shots to do it. He is only shooting 44% for the year. Lebron James is scoring a point less a game but is shooting over 54% from the field. Do the math Lakerheads. Kobe takes 2 to 3 times more shots than Gasol and is stinking up the court. In your last 5 games Lakerheads you team is 2-3 and your great hero has made 45 baskets in 118 shots. Thats a 37% shooting average and in the game against NY Kobe Took 29 Shots and made 11 to score 34 points while Lin made 13-23. Gasol only got to take 10 shots against NY because your hero was a ball hog and was throwing up bricks, ROFL. In other games Kobe has taken more the twice as many shots as Gasol hitting nothing. A cow could throw 100 balls at a basket and make 37%. Kobe is a joke willing to sacrifice team wins to win a scoring title. They should make it so you have to a least shoot 47% from the field to qualify for the scoring title because if Kobe wins it he will make a mockery of it.

Mike Brown may not be a good coach, but he has 3 players and a bunch of guys like Artest who suck. Artest is the epitome of what's wrong with the Lakers. He is old, and a fraction of his former self. Fisher is similar. Artest can change his name and go on dancing with the stars, and stay late after practice by himself... but he still sucks.

MIke Brown isn't a coach....his resume says he's just a caddie for an elite player that really runs his own team- LeBron, then Kobe, and he's a statistician that doesn't understand the most important stat- wins.

HAHA SID1011
what a pathetic kobe hater you are. I look forward to dismantling you- where should I start ?
Your bias is so disgustingly obvious, already in your second sentence. You say kobe is averaging 44%, and lebron over 54% - kobe is 44.2 and lebron is 54.2.... if kobe is averaging 44, lebron is averaging 54. If lebron is averaging OVER 54, than Kobe is averaging OVER 44. Insignificant detail, but it reveals your bias and shows how your full of sh1t. Not going to start the lebron comparison, but shall we really compare their field goals ?? how many open? easy dunks does lebron get every game off passes from wade ?? he gets the easiet baskets out of anyone in the NBA. You talk about the game vs NY kobe taking 29 shots ? tell me SID, who should he have passed the ball to ? Bynum who was 1 for 8? Fisher who was 2 for 7? Artest who was 0 for 3? Or maybe Blake who was 2 for 11? Great Gasol shot 50% on open jumpers due to double team on kobe, maybe he should have gotten a few more touches, but take them away from bynum or any other player on the court that night, not Kobe. Then you go on to to say he is shooting horribly and that no one under 47% should qualify for scoring title ?? So players like Rose (our MVP), Westbrook, Nowitzki, Elllis, Paul Pierce are also bad players and shouldnt qualify for such things either ?? You are an absolute joke SID, ive never read such a horrible comment on any basketball site. You should not be allowed to comment. What a disgraceful post. If it werent for Kobe Bryant, the attention he draws from opponents defence and the 30 pts hes posting per game on what is an amazing percentage CONSIDERING the shots he is forced to take cause his team-mates suck, Lakers would be way below .500 Now do us all a favor, chop off your hands, and stay away from keyboards.
