Crunch-Time, how is Kobe Bryant over-rated?

My distaste for and dislike of Bryant is very well-documented and known, but even as a Celtics fan, I can't go there. To make that statement, then one also has to assume Larry Bird is an idiot who doesn't know basketball. A week and a half ago on the Bill Simmons podcast, Bird said Bryant was the player in the current NBA he'd most like to play with.

Anyway, the argument you're using would seem to say more about Mike Brown vs. Phil Jackson, not Kobe Bryant with Mike Brown vs. Kiobe Bryant with Phil Jackson.

Brown is running a different system, has a different style and he's coaching other players besides Bryant.

Ugh, I can't believe I just had to defend Kobe......after typing that last post, I need decontamination chamber and a shower.

Try not to put too much stock in what crunch time says, the guy has been Kobe-whipped for years. You know the relationships junior high girls have with boys, where they slug 'em in the shoulder and tell all the other girls they hate the boy? then the two of 'em get caught making out behind his locker? That's crunch time with Kobe-posts 1000 times a week about how much he hates him, but secretly crunch time is Kobe's biggest fan. And don't expect him to respond to criticism-he doesn't say anything because he knows it's true and we'll see right through him.

Anyway, you know how I feel about Kobe. Tough guy to love, but there is no other active player I'd want on my team if I needed a win-period. Sure he has faults-but there are hater types on here that act like there is such a thing as a perfect player, and that just isn't the case. The good FAR outweighs the bad with Kobe.

As far as Mike Brown goes, his rotations are atrocious. No flow whatsoever-just look at the stats and throw guys out there, chemistry be damned. I hope Brown settles into what he's doing, because imo he;s the one that looks lost.

not very much to post on here, I assure you.  The information is not difficult to find.  Being a Lakers fan, I see his name a lot on Lakers threads for starters.  secondly all you have to do is click his profile and see "latest content".  It takes all of 5 seconds to do.  Seriously dude.
