Spin--Are you even aware of what Nebraska was asking for? I know you don't because if you did you'd have told the Huskers to go suck eggs like Boise did.
Boise has earned the right to say "no".
Boise has the most PATHETIC schedule of ANY Major Program, yet Smiles/Someday/Bigred constantly acts as if it is an even playing field.
These teams represent.......93% of Boise State's Entire Winning Record From 2000-2011.
0-1 against ECU and 0-1 against Boston College?
UT Martin's AD went so far as to say it isn't finalized. He said, "IT IS NOT FINALIZED". Now here we are, two weeks later, and it still isn't comfirmed. Somebody down in the mail room appears to have jumped the gun.

Also, the UTM AD said he wouldn't comment further than what had been released because it wasn't finalized.
WOW ! This is just great stuff here ! I laughed so much ! Very good ! I love your sense of humor and your ability to capture it in words. So true too....as good humor must..MUST.. contain.
And that doesn't tell you it isn't finalized?
week 3 and counting
A little research on your part you will find atleast 4 threads by Spinkiller hating Boise St.
It's really pointless to try to argue with Spinny. So I simply enjoy him for what he is, a bitter fellow who has had a grudge against the team I cheer for for quite some time, and seems to enjoy reading his own text. Whenever you see someone who insists on posting in all boldface, it's a good sign of an oversized ego and an even better sign of faulty logic.
Boise doesn't play as many AQ teams as Oklahoma does, well, probably because up until now, they played in a nonAQ league. If you deducted out the league games OU plays, they really only have one or two "challenging" games each year, just like he's been crying about Boise for all these years. But even then, OU's record is much better than most SEC schools, I have to give credit where it is due. OU plays tough teams on the road OOC, teams like FSU, Air Force, Cincinnati, Miami, and BYU. They don't play very many FCS schools, unlike the SEC who lines up a parade of them, every year. Of course, that big loss to BYU has got to still sting, especially considering that the Cougars have never defeated Boise as a d-1 team. But that's trivia, not really what I am attempting to discuss.
It's kind of funny, no one seemed to notice that I was quite vocal about my disatisfaction over BSU playing UTM. I guess I could get philosophical about it, after all, Boise hired the asst. AD from Kentucky, and we all know that the Wildcat football team would never have a winning season ever unless they scheduled so that they racked up 4 gimmie wins each and every year. I fear that he is copying the habits of his old team of routinely bringing in patsies to play OOC. I don't like it.
But yet again, my good friends seem to miss this point, so intent they are, I suppose, in finding fault with me personally that they seem to neglect my principal point for all of these posts. So, even though I know I'm wasting my breath on my SEC friends and my dissonate pal, Spinnie, I'll say it again:
It's not good for college football when we allow numerous teams, including my own, to make a habit of lining up a whole series of patsies for their nonconference games. If it were only one or maybe two, I could excuse it, but when team after team is constantly bringing in 3 or 4 cupcakes in the only games they control, year after year, it is not fair competition, nor is it beneficial for the sport in the long run. Try to quit throwing insults in my direction long enough to consider my point, or are you incapable of such thought?
I'd appreciate a response without lame mindless insults. But then again, judging from what you've written already, that may be over your heads.
