STORY TIME AGAIN:  speaking of mookie, years ago, probly 2009 or so,  my current wife and I were dating and watching one of those true crime TV shows.  They mentioned a murder investigation and the detectives were told to track down a suspect named "Mookie".  I waited 5 seconds or so and said, "The guy will be 22 or 23 years old.  A second later they said the guy was that age and she was shocked that I knew.  


I said all I had to do was take the year and subtract 1986.  He was too old to be named after Mookie Blaylock but just right for Mookie Wilson and what better year to remember Mookie than 1986.  

SOOOO, this goes to show that knowing your sports history CAN be useful.
