I think he has a place on this team and he can still run the point well....I actually said he was honestly our team MVP not that long ago....but as always seems the case with a team like this, someone always feels left out since no one is getting their 30+ shots per game.

He also said that Denver could/would not win an NBA championship because we do not have any "star" players. I hope to prove him wrong this year with our team. Still, a little concerning that he's coming out with all of this at a time when Denver is playing their best ball of the season. Keep your mouth shut and if we lose in the playoffs then you can bark all you want after the season is over.

Not sure why Lawson & Miller need to be on the court at the same time. Tough loss. Gallo hit some incredible treys.

I think he gets put in by default. Koufos doesn't ever see the floor late in games, so there always needs to be a sub in there who can handle the ball. He's still effective posting up and drawing fouls, but he should never, ever be taking jumpshots. That last one was borderline ridiculous and a giant "F-U" to Karl. 7 seconds to play and only down by 2 and he throws up a 25 footer that never had a chance.

Hopefully, Karl got in his ear about it. I know the Denver media was all over it yesterday so he's gotta be aware of the backlash of doing that.

I don't have any problem with Andre Miller taking a wide open three at the end. Better him taking an open shot than passing to someone who's probably going to be covered. Just because he doesn't shoot that much doesn't mean he can't make them. Let's also not forget that Lawson has been horrible in late game ending situations this year, including not even getting a shot off on a couple occasions and dribbling the ball off his foot on another.

Hmm, like getting this game into overtime?  Miller has his place (and his time is shrinking).  He is slow compared to his teamates.  I do think Denver needs a vet who has been there and as Clem said, he can post up a lot of PG in the league.

To say you would rather have Miller firing up a long three vs Lawson on the drive? IMHO, not even close.  I do like your av though!

First, he was far from wide open, he had someone standing right in front of him with over 7 seconds left on the clock to create a shot for himself or someone else.

Second, I would call into question your assertion of Lawson's performance in late game situations this year. He has missed some, but he has also made some and they'd have not even been in that game if it weren't for his runner with under a second left.

Gallo is the man in crunch time on this team. Post him up or get him the ball off of a screen and let him create. He's been doing it all year long and is 1,000 times a better option than Miller. I'd take any of either Gallo, Lawson, Chandler or Brewer taking that shot instead of Miller....unless, of course, Miller was posted up and close to the bucket (where he excels).

clem- Love their heart, too, but 3 losses in a row hurts. McGee was solid last night- too bad he isn't more consistent.
I concur with your earlier comment on  Miller being the default sub.

I'm trying to get more folks talking hoops and other sports at a site that has bulletin boards , which I like to use for tracking discussions. The site is free and not filled with ads. http://www.macapp.ca/

I'm vapor5 if anyone joins.

Hope the Nugs healup during the A-S break

I'm not concerned at all about the 3 losses in a row. Many key guys were out the last two games and we still almost pulled out Ws with a team full of backups and guys who rarely see minutes. The Boston loss was a loss, but again....if not for some Paul Pierce heroics we win that game. His game tying 3 barely snuck in the rim, a centimeter to the left and we win that one.

I'm confient that this team, when healthy, can compete with anyone in the NBA. At home we are almost unbeatable. And if anyone thinks there is no difference between playing at sea level vs. 5,280 feet in the air, I challenge you to come out here and just jog lightly for 15 minutes.

Ha, that's if you can last for 15 minutes.  As someone who grew up in Colorado and now lives in the sunny So/Cal, I can tell you it's tough to get air when you visit the mile hi city.

Yep, me too.  I think they will end up with a record of 52-30.  I hope it's good for third seeding though.

Nugs hung on over the Celts despite some shaky free throw shooting down the stretch. I know Iggy may be banged up, but he looks lost out there. Faried and Brewer bring energy every night.

"Wiz-swept" by lack of rebounds and poor 3 point shooting. Plus ask Iggy to stop shooting.

Win of the year! It shouldnt have been this close but the refs have a problem with letting Westbrook whine! Everytime he dribbled it felt like he got free throws it was sickening. Lawson didnt shoot well at all tonight but ice in his veins!
