Then perhaps you should include THE ENTIRE SENTENCE:

Had I known you where going to take that out of context twocoach I would've included the entire sentence. Again I was not addressing you and since the person that was meant for obviously has trouble seeing the forrest for the trees I felt it best not to confuse him/her that much.

If you are such an ardent supporter of the original wordings of the US Constitution, do you support us dropping the standing army and training a milita of the people to serve in that capacity?

To what end twocoach?

I have a million things I would like the government to do with all the zillions of dollars earmarked for WAY longer than the next two years for defense spending...

I'm sure you do, no sense holding back now share with the rest of us that grand plan of yours.

Not sure I can spell this out for you, I didn't realize how low your intellect is, and to use a little humor Stewie Griffin once said "Ah, yes. The bottom 10% of our high-school class is off to fight another battle," which is more true than not.

Really? Is that the best you can do eboo? Attempt to insult my intelligence? The bottom 10% right?

You can think you made a difference all you want, but in reality getting a good job and smartly investing and then giving back to those that need it is far more useful than shooting at people in a country where we have no claim.

Perhaps I didn't. I just have one question. Were where you?

And yes trolly I know perfectly well what an amendment is. All twenty seven of them. From your post apparently you think I can't count that high or that I have some trouble with word definitions.  But I can think of several in the 27 that'd I rather see gone than the 2nd one which btw was proposed on Sept. 25th, 1789 and enacted Dec 15th 1791. Right alone with the other first nine amendments to the Constitution was proposed and enacted.

The burning and mailing part was hyperbole. You know exaggerations in writing to create emphasis or effect?
Actually, the reason I listed them individually had nothing to do with your perceived ability to count.  I was simply lisitng them individually to create emphasis.

Despite the hyperbole, were you actually trying to make a point or not?  If so, my line of questioning still stands.  Why will the constitution be harmed in any way if the 2nd amendment is changed?  Why will it be different than the dozens of other times that the constitution was changed?

Maybe you should argue that the Bill of Rights would be irrepairably harmed.  Just sayin'.

"Yes I am aware of that.  I'm also aware that the "US standing army that has stood for around 200 years" is slowly and purposefully waning. "

Because the wars of today aren't fought the same way as the wars of 50 years ago. Small, tactical units are much more useful than dropping 50,000 troops and all the gear to support them in. Our own military leaders have stated as such. This isn't being driven solely by the left wingers you rail on so much. It is an actual response to waht is working in the field.

"Yes I am aware of that.  I'm also aware that the "US standing army that has stood for around 200 years" is slowly and purposefully waning. "

Our country has suvived ten times worse than this stretch. We will be fine. Honestly, if people would learn to live within their means and a few tactical laws and regulations be put into place, our country would be as strong as ever.

It was ME that took it out of context? Eh, OK. You are making the same mistake as most people looking for justification for what they want gun ownership to be and taking the selective wording of the Constitution completely out of context by only applying the portion that you like. Sounds a lot like how most Catholics use of the Bible.

"To what end twocoach?"

To the end of staying "true" to the original purpose of the Constitution, which is that NO standing army be kept in our country. Our forefathers were very afraid that a standing army would be used against the government of the new country, to which I argue that this was the primary driver of why the Constitutional Army led by George Washington was not adequately supported. The Revolutionary War could have been much shorter and had much less bloodshed if the US Government wasn't wary of giving their own army too much power.

I am not proposing this happen, just making the point that if you are going to stand firm on every original word in the Constitution, you should do it across the board, not just in the parts that are fun for you...

"I'm sure you do, no sense holding back now share with the rest of us that grand plan of yours."

We are paying BILLIONS of dollars to bomb holes in the ground in Afghanistan and then BILLIONS more to corrupt US Contractors to partially rebuild what we blew up. If that isn't the very definition of insanity then I don't know what is. Looka round the country at all the people and industries that could better use that money.

"I know plenty on Islam, but the fact is al qaeda gave three main reasons for doing what they did and two of those were the presence of US troops in Saudi Arabia and US support of Israel. Yeah of course terrorist events still could of happened, but the odds would be far less."

DOn't be so naive. There wouldn't be less odds, the threat would just be from a different group. If you stop supporting Israel, you are then seen as passively supporting Palestine and a different group of people will want to kill us for that. If you don't have troops in Saudi Arabia, some nut job in Syria or Libya rolls in there and causes a massive crisis in the world's oil supply and you then have troops in Syria and a different group wants to kill us for that.

We are too large of a country and power to simply play NO role. It simply will not be allowed any more. We will always be drug into it because some side of an issue will always want our power and money standing behind them.

To sacrifice one’s own safety in the service of others requires a courage that is rare, and in many non-existant. Someone ask a question?

Haven't seen any answer to the request your insultuous comments brought forth ebo. Really, I was under the impression that this was a sports forum, not a board for politics or religion. Amazingly though, when you say "We" got binladen, it sounds as if you really want to belong to something successful-like China, or Australia, or somewhere other than where you are protected by the courage, bravery & might of those you scorn? I won't post again, I will only point out what appears to be cowardice once, and will surely remember it. But you really owe apologies to alot of board rats that you have so carelessly & thoughtlessly insulted. Although the reference of giving to those truly in need is quite noble, somehow from your insidous posts I don't believe for one minute you would give a bum more than a dime & even that may be pushing the envelope.

UK has not been disappointing at all.  They are right where I expected after following them for over fifty years.  I don't think I will have one thing to be disappointed with.
"I just think if UK fans were a little less worried about what other fans were doing and were a little more focused on their own fans and team, the world would be a better place."
I don't think the number one fans from the Big Blue Nation are worried or even considerind what other fans think.  What would thinking about other fans have to do with how we are going to win the National Championship again this year!!  If not this year we will be hears from deep into the tourney and will take it next year.

Still too early to call them a disappointment yet, or do I need to wait for a few more losses to unranked teams?

"UK has not been disappointing at all.  They are right where I expected after following them for over fifty years.  I don't think I will have one thing to be disappointed with. "

So after coming off a national title and landing a Top 5 recruiting class and a few key transfers, you expected them to be on the NCAA bubble? Cause that's where they are right now. They just got handled at home by an NIT team.
"What would thinking about other fans have to do with how we are going to win the National Championship again this year!!  If not this year we will be hears from deep into the tourney and will take it next year. "

Kentucky is going to have to upset Florida and/or Mizzou to get higher than an 8 seed in the tourney at this point. And I don't think this will be their last bad loss. A&M lost at home to Southern U. for crying out loud... The only deep tourney run that Kentucky is making is if they end up in the NIT. That said, how'd you like to be the #7 seed that lands Kentucky as the #10 seed? Thanks a lot, NCAA!

Except when they play a better team, which is happening quite frequently this season.
